Gas has been going down here in TX, $1.79 today.. And $1.73 a few towns over. Ours have been going down all year..

CA is highly taxed area with another added gas tax a few months ago. You folks need to rise up and rebel already. And what do you get for all that TAX money?

I posted this in amps and cabs, but does the aux in feed to the DI out? It didn't for me at practice last night, but it could have been due to other things I didn't know (that I do now). I was hoping to get rid of my tonebone that I use mostly for the ab switch by sending my bass synth into the aux in, but if it doesn't go out the DI, that isn't going to work. On the genz mg350, fwiw. Thanks!

But seriously, the headphone out on the Magellan is saving my marriage! I use it exclusively when practicing at home now. ear buds for music device on first, then the cans for the Magellan. I'm sure I could experiment with the Aux in, but this setup just works for me. Maybe not elegant, but exactly what I need.

I’m very very fortunate in the marriage dept. as my wife is also a musician(We play in the same bands) and when we are not practicing together, she doesn’t mind me bouncing everything onto the floor that’s not bolted down, from those very powerful MG800 with 2 Genzler BA-12-3s and my trusty 5 string basses. :D And I’m practicing in our music studio in the basement! At times during my practices I see papers fly to floor as well as other objects in my studio from the reverberations lol.

For DI out on the MG350 you should be using the direct output on the far right side on the back. As shown below.

Ok, based on my wholly unscientific sound test, the aux in sound did not come through the DI. I went Thunderbolt from my MacBook Pro-> Clarett 4Pre->Aux-in on MG800->DI out on MG800->Zoom H6n->headphones plugged into H6n. No sound. As expected, the sound from the setup came out of the cab I hooked up to it and from the headphones, but nothing from the Zoom when it was getting signal from the DI.

Someone feel free to lemme know if I should've tried it another way...

Thanks a bunch for doing that. I don't have any way to do that here at home and we've got a big gig tomorrow. That's what I was afraid of. It would be super cool if it did go to the DI, but I bet it doesn't just to make sure the DI is as clean as possible. I guess I'll have to keep the tonebone! Thanks again.

I had a practice last week with the combo. Seemed to be taxed to fill the room (fwiw the practice space had high ceilings, akin to a warehouse). It was loud but it needed another cabinet. My 12-3 straight came in some days later and tonight I ran the stack, and it makes a big difference. Plenty of low end. I left the bass on the mag's eq flat, brought up the desired mids and some treble. Adjusted my bass's eq flat with the pickups split 50/50. Nice growl out of the bass. I do put on some distortion but have a crossover to only effect the mids and higher. Sounds really good. Rythm guitar and drummer liked what they heard.

Am enjoying the rig's size and ease of transport. Have been out of the music scene for about 8 years and my previous rig, which I still have, is a mesa, and it's heavy. The class d thing is great (was unaware of class d's until i started playing again) and am happy with the Genzler product. FWIW I looked at Trace and TC Electronic too before I joined the club.

Apologize if it’s been addressed but all this Aux in talk made me wonder if that’s a stereo input. So people that are using it for a headphone practice amp and feeding audio into it are you using a stereo 1/4” adapter? It seems it would be goofy if it’s mono for that purpose. Thanks

That's the same route I'm going to take. Would already be there if I didn't have to spend the money on a sub I can transport myself so I can fire my sound guy. Oh well. All in due time. Glad to hear you're diggin' the Magellan 800 so much

It says in the manual that it is a stereo jack, but that it is summed into mono with the appropriate resistors. It says an instrument cable (ts) should work with it also. It could send stereo to the headphone output, but I don't know if it does that, or if it sends a the summed stereo to both channels.

I am not sure. I know gas prices in Quebec are far higher than in the US, but I don't follow 'em closely......since I drive 'lectric and haven't "filled up" in the traditional sense in over 3 years.
