Thanks! I've already pre-set the MG800 to those settings and looking forward to a better experience this coming Sunday. Playing and not hearing what is being played is somewhat awkward!!

Sorry, fire the sound guy! lol just kidding but you think in 30 years of doing sound he would pick up a manual to be able to do rudimentary settings like a pad adjustment. If his board doesn't have a pad then a quick hook up to a DI box would have worked.(being that he is not familiar with your head).

@SadowskySteve, You would think!!! I made that misstake and assumed he was quite knowledgeable after 30 years. I guess I should have known how to set my MG800, too, but going forward I won’t have that issue on my end.
I’d take one...Does this phrase mean that you’re either working on it or considering building a DI pedal?That’d be so helpful for bass players like myself who can’t use their awesome and amazing MG800 and Genzler cabinets but have to plug into FOH every time. That’d be AWESOME!
Background jazz quartet tonight. Big open Ballroom for a convention type thing...you all know the gig. My little MG350 was at 11:00 and 11:00 and had no trouble...B string sounded great as well. Love this little one trip wonder.
Honestly, I just find it hard to believe that the 350 with the 10-3 can be used for anything other than a practice rig.
I'd like to to try one of these rigs to get a full understanding/experience, because it's just unbelievable!

I played my BA12-3 at a gig where normally I used a Greenboy 12/6/1. I can't say what the audience heard, but it sounded like it needed some help to me. Now, I take the BA12-3 and the Greenboy and stack them, BA12-3 on top!
I love it!!! Would really like to hear what two stacked BA12-3 would sound like!!
I played this same house and took my BA410-3! I was able to relocate the dance floor with it!!

Wow! What an offer! Jeff, your kindness and support knows no bounds...it's wonderful to have folks in the industry be so real, caring and approachable.
Regarding the 350 combo...initially I had my doubts that it could do all that people here were reporting it could do, but my reasons for purchase didn't actually revolve around actually using it on anything more than a minimal background gig. Like Steve C, I had the Shuttle 3.0 10T with the 10T extension cabinet that I was very happy with and it served my needs for a smallish rig very well. Then I heard the MG800 next to my Shuttle 9.0...not that the Shuttle 9.0 was a slouch...it wasn't...but the "girth" and "weight" to the notes from the MG800 were much more similar to my Streamliner 900...they felt and sounded huge by comparison to the Shuttle 9.0. So I picked up the MG800. Then the G.A.S. started. I began to wonder if the MG350 would represent the same difference in sound and feel compared to my Shuttle 3.0 as the MG800 did with the Shuttle 9.0. I was also very intrigued by the Bass Array concept, and since I am somewhat "wed" to my GS112s, I didn't see the BA12-3s coming my way the in near future.
I took the plunge and ordered the 350 combo and extension cab. Yup. Same feel and "heft" to the notes. At home I cranked it up and really didn't realize just how loud it was (I know no one else has done this...
). It wasn't until I just happened to move behind the single BA10-2 that I came to understand just how much volume the little thing was putting out. It sounded immense! Okay, the ports are in the front, the array and speaker were on the other side of the cabinet from where I was standing...and still...the volume and feel was amazing for something so small. I had the opportunity to jam with some friends in a room about the size of a small to medium bar gig with a full complement of peeps and there was a video made. Although I had also brought the extension cab, just for yuks I only used one. The drummer also reflected my observations about hearing the sound behind the cabinet...noting that he was hearing every note clearly and well-defined. I don't actually claim to know how that is possible...but it's pretty neat, nonetheless. Standing in front of the amp I could hear myself clearly, but certainly immersed deep in the mix. But, upon hearing the video from out front, I realized that the bass was much more prominent than I thought it would be and it covered all the bases (basses?) that I had hoped for.So...I truly believe Steve's assertion that the 350 combo is all that he needs for his gigs...and I can actually see it covering a lot more of my situations than my previous Shuttle 3.0 10T and 10T extension did. I really do like having the BA10-2 extension cabinet...but, in my opinion...it's not the necessity that having an extension with the Shuttle 3.0 was.
It truly is a great time to be a bass player (or hack, like myself)...

Yep! I did a small outdoor gig this summer where the stage was very tight and shade was at a premium so I had to stand behind my Genzler rig. (MG800 with single BA 12-3).
Didn't miss a thing! It sounded great, nice and full, with all the usual clarity!

I’ve owned and gigged for years every combination of Genzler head and Arrays with the exception of the 410. All have been amazing and handled hugs from 180-4000 people easil with a little help from the PA. The Genzler 350 and 10-2 array stack I use now for personal and the main church I play at now uses it and nothing but compliments from people. I actually mic my stack now and use very little PA support for our 500 seat church and tone is as good as anything I’ve had. I love the 210 stack and the 12-3 stack also but I lose nothing in tone and it handles everything I need in a extra lightweight package. Played in a Forum locally and took my stack and the sound engineers laughed when I packed it in. After wound check they all come up to check it out and ask about it. Even used the DI out over their own DI standard.

No doubt, what you are saying is true. I'm a Genzler fan, too!

It sadden me somewhat when the church had to reduce the equipment budget to where it was no way to get the Genzler gear in there. So, I decided to give the pair of Avatar cabinets I had to the church under budget.
The good things about that are the cabinets are very nice cabinets (although not at the Genzler level, but still very nice cabinets) for the church to own, and I get to play through them using my MG800, which is now DI connected to the board.

I’ve used just the 350 and 1 of the 10-2 arrays at several smaller churches I travel to using full band including drums and it keeps up. I have no problems hearing myself and even walked out into audience with wireless and it cuts through effortlessly. There is nothing thin about it at all. Now saying that it’s so light I always normall take the whole rig as I can pack it all in 1 trip. Both together is amazing.
