For just some grind, wouldn't the B3 work fine? Looks like it's the dirt circuitry of the B7 without the pre. Doesn't the pre of the 800 give you enough tone control? I love pres but the price of the B3 is pretty good compared to the B7 as well. Thanks!

More EQ to tailor your grind tone is key. A simple tone knob doesn’t work for me. I like to shape it with more control that the B7KU offers.

We should start a “Show your settings” so we all can see what others are doing. Bet we are all very close since the Magellan heads sound so good at everything at noon.
Agree...I generally start with everything at noon(ish) and adjust for the room. But I rarely end up at less than 11 or more than 1 on anything. So much eq, so little time...

settings?

main rock/funk/soul/etc sound with roundwounds-

drive channel, gain at 11
blue contour, 1030
mid frequency at 930, mid control at 1
bass and treble at 12

if im using a bass with flats i prefer the yellow contour, settings are the same.

for jazz or solo looping or whatever i switch to clean channel with the blue contour.

Just now practicing for tomorrow.
Running songs from the laptop through the Genzler's Aux In, Bass in the front, In Ears to the Head Phones, there is no need for a mixer.

Same settings used live sent Post through the DI cabless.

The Drive is still clean sounding, just has a bit of cut and texture to it. drool

@Holdsg, it looks like you guys/gal are having a lot of fun! But was the guitar player giving somebody a finger with his fretting hand? That middle finger certainly is extended above the fretboard. :D

MAN! I hooked up my Quilter OD200 Guitar amp to a BA110-2. EXTREME loud and clear, IMO as much so as a typical 212 guitar cab and SO light! Have any of you other bass players who also do guitar tried this? This will soon be my new personal guitar rig!

I also play guitar, which was one of the reasons why I went with the 350 combo and not another BA12-3 cab. A 350 watt guitar amp in this size that doubles as a bass combo!!! Are you kidding me??

I know, right? It is a wonder more guitarists havent gone this route. Yes, the MG350 works well for guitar with pedals...add an Ampero or HXstomp and the sky is the limit. I use the OD200 cause I like it's distortion for guitar and prefer the MG350 for bass.
