Genzler Amplification Club

Out of 448 persons on this board at the moment - I had to read this? Now I'll have to turn my life around.
Oh wait, I have an MG 800 - already, on my way to redemption!
Ok, maybe I should clarify. I don't hang out at bars every night. Only when I am playing them or the occasional hang with good friends. It's been years since I have been to a strip club and I don't do drugs. So yeah, that leaves money for toys. ;)

Well got the whole rig going now, I guess it’s official! Don’t mind the flannel, it’s hiding my Hartke lol. Guess I need a number? Got to mess with it for an hour or so, but need to rearrange the room so I am not sitting on top of it. Gonna try tomorrow with the slant on the bottom. Guys with active basses, do you even bother with the pad button? Didn’t seem to clip when I tried the basses without it.
Nope

Might be good if you switch back and forth...

I haven't posted a rig pic in a while.
My 410-3 was on its way home so this is the 212

Hey folks, I'm not in "the club", but am quite interested in the Genzler speakers because I've read threads like this saying great things about them. I still love to use my old SVT for some gigs. Have any of y'all used an SVT to power a Genzler speaker? Of so, what do you think of that combination?

I do pad my Spector, mostly because when I switch back to my P bass I don’t have to change anything else.

Question: for those of you playing heavier stuff and you want some more grit in your tone than what the 800 offers, what's your favorite? Darkglass? Which one? Would love to hear what you all think is a good match/complement for the 800 in terms of tone. Just looking for some more growl and nasty.

TIA!

I use a few things - primarily for grit and distortion I use a Darkglass Alpha-Omega Ultra in my current setup. I also use a Markbass Super Synth and MXR Bass Blowtorch to get synthier and fuzzier tones. Additionally, I don't currently have it on my board, but I have a Way Huge Pork & Pickle, which has some great fuzz and overdrive tones.

Combine any of these with a good chorus and you can get some pretty gnarly tones for sure.

And if you Genzler owners are looking for another bass that pairs well with your Genzler gear, I have a few listed in the classifieds!
These are excellent basses, and I'm hoping will go to a good home and not to some bass broker!!
...and thank you!
