Thanks for the insight, Jeff. The mini stack of BA10-2’s is what I was thinking, but I also like the more “traditional” voicing of the MG cab.
By itself, a 12 is going to be a little more full than the 10 I assume, even at 175 watts. I still like the idea of a one cab combo.
Man....I keep sayin' to all that'll listen: Two 10-2's is just sooooo satisfying. Don't overthink it, @SteveC! It' is a little bit more of a schlep with two 10-2's, but IMO it's more than worth it.
Most of my regular gigs are IEM but I am doing some sub work this month where I get to use my Genzler 800/10-2 stack. I'm always excited to use my Genzler rig on gigs! I rehearsed with the stack last week in a super crappy sounding rehearsal room. But the little 10-2 stack sounded great. The other band members and manager/sound guy all remarked on the quality of the bass tone. And I agreed!!
Hey, man....No false modesty here. If it sounds good, why not just admit it??
