we all LOVE our Genzler gear.

...and I love that I get to breakout my BA410-3 to run with my MG800 at a city sponsored Wednesday Wind Down gig tomorrow!!! I'm so ready to hear it outside!

I’ve used all three twice. I felt it was pretty much the same as using two. Just louder.

How do you wire three cabs? Amp to cab to cab to cab; Or Amp to 2 cabs, then one cab to the third?
Maybe it doesn't matter. And are you strictly using Speakon cables? Again, maybe doesn't matter for cab to cab connections.

I just picked up a third cab and was interested in how others are using 3. I only plan on using the third for outdoor gigs, but who knows.

And are you strictly using Speakon cables?

It doesn’t have to be strictly Speakon connectors. Going from cabinet to cabinet can be 1/4 inch
connector speaker cables. I have speaker cables with both ends Speakon and one end Speakon and the other 1/4 inch. They all work pretty good as long as your connection plates are wired appropriately.

yes, my gig bag has 2 of the speakon=====1/4 inch cables, and one of the speakon===speakon cables.

plus extra instrument and mic cables (gotta be prepared).

You never know what you're going to find at a backline gig.

Based on electric to thermal power loss due to inherent resistance in speaker cables, you could make the case for keeping the speaker cables relatively short & chaining each cab you add off the previous cab.
First cab of course would connect to the amp.

Yes, what he said!! I don't like to use excessive cables lengths if at all possible. That is one of the benefits of the Outtie to innie to outtie to innie gambit

Re connecting cabs, I find that I forget to switch the ohms back and forth on the amp when switching from 1 to 3 cabs while only using a single speaker output on the amp. For some reason, visually seeing one or two cables plugged into the amp reminds me to flip the ohm switch.

Here are a few pictures from the Wednesday Wind Down!
The BA410-3 was very impressive. I was able to hear a FB posted video from the gig and the bass sounded amazing through the Genzler with FOH support.
The bass of choice was my CP Thornton TR-5, which is my #1 bass!

So my first Genzler gig was a blast. Outside, good weather, good food, nice people. I went with my new 350 combo and 2 “new to me BA10-2s”. I was afraid 2 cabs wouldn’t be enough, so I luckily grab a used 3rd. In retrospect, I don’t think I needed the 3rd cab. Master at 11 and volume at 12 o’clock I had plenty to spare. Bass was between 7 & 9 for most of the show (no real numbers there, just a hunch).
Sounded fantastic.

Our new drummer helped me load in last night and noticed and commented on my use of only one small cabinet. (12-3) he wondered if it would handle the little 200-seat club. I told him I was pretty sure it would. The club filled to above capacity, with the dance floor packed.

At the end of the night, I asked if he heard me alright and then showed him my master volume (mg800) was at noon.
