Sounds great! Question: do you disable any drive on the 800 and just use the Darkglass for a little grit? I've tried the Aguilar preamp and a Tech21 Bass FlyRig in front of the MG800 and I'm not sure if there's a ton of value there. What are you getting from the Darkglass that you couldn't dial in from your bass and amp controls?
Not OP but the Darkglass will give you a little bit more of a modern edge than the drive circuit. That is more of a vintage woolly hair type of grit as opposed to the brightness the Darkglass will give you even with the drive off. I'm curious how he is running it as well.
I am always surprised when I hear isolated bass tracks for rock songs and often hear how dirty a sound they're using. It's not always apparent in the final mix.

That's a classic phenomenon for sure, sometimes it works to our advantage to smooth your final tone out and sometimes its quite frustrating when your godlike bedroom overdrive tone just vanishes in the full mix. These are my favorite type of tones though, where there is enough space in the mix you can get almost the full vibe of it isolated.
It blurs the line knowing where the growl comes from. Is it the bass, added dirt or some other part of the signal chain.

I run my bass into a Darkglass Hyper Luminal > B7K Ultra > MG800. Here are my setting in the photo below. A nice blend of my bass with the mild modern distortion all trimmed to upper mids and highs. Master is set at unity. There is no boosting, all shaping.
Magellan 800 is basically set at noon and adjust to room from the amp.

Looks like we've got a similar rig bass aside, I have an older B7K and a first run Hyper Luminal. What setting do you prefer on the luminal?
Sounded REALLY GOOD! Had just the right amount of grind to me. Great vid also.

I use the Bus setting at 4:1 ratio. I also customized the settings in the suite and set the HPF at 120.

Hey y’all! So I have the megellan 800 and the 15” slanted array cab. I am having trouble getting fx like phaser and envelope filter cutting through the mix. I have great low end and it sounds awesome but just not hearing enough of my high strings and notes and fx. I have a hyper luminal compressor that helped but not totally. I’m thinking I need another cab to help spread out the sound an headroom. I don’t need volume that single 15” cab is llloouudddd but I do need something to help me cut through mix more. Is a second cab the answer? If so which do y’all suggest to add to the 15”? If there is a spot in this thread that talks about this sorry and let me know what pages they are. I def want to stay with all genzler gear.

firstly a second cab is always the answer unless you have two - then a third cab is the answer...
Seriously probably too much A contour. I find it usually sounds great but depending on how my guitarist sets up - I usually boost the mids a bit.
post your eq settings and let us know which pickup your using (neck, bridge, both?).
The 210 is really the perfect complement to the 15. Well, to me it was as that's what I have. Both cabs are loud and full but the 10s seem to react faster and produce highs with greater clarity. Plus, given that they are closer to ear level, you don't have to turn up volume or treble to hear yourself more easily as you would with just the single 15.
Plus, it just looks cool.
**EDIT -- plus, you have the flexibility of three different rigs (210, 15, 210+15) for different requirements/venues.

Is the plug for that cab to head a phone plug?
It looks like one. The Genzlers only take Neutrik Speakon connectors.
You may need to get a phone plug to Speakon adapter for your combo's cab.
