Being that NAMM just happened- not likely to see any new announcements till at least summer...
Jeff hasn’t played with 8’s at all as of yet so I wouldn’t hold my breat on that one. Maybe a 210 but again - it would have to offer something not already accomplished to justify it.

Played on a small fender rumble combo last night with compression and distortion. It got pretty harsh pretty fast ran flat. It's actually crazy how much the Magellan allows me to boost into it without it becoming icepicky, it's got a great natural warthm and girth.
Once I have these bass arrays I will probably produce happy tears over the state of my rig.

Hello @Loring --- Thanks as always for all of your posts and for assisting other users with your experiences, but I'll disagree with a few of your projections above.
You just never know when something new will come to market. Just in today's world, things are taking longer than pre-COVID.
As for experience with 8's, in our GB days we did a few models with 8" drivers ---- the little Shuttle 3.0-8T combo and the UBER QUAD. But none of those were 2x8" models. I've always liked that small foot print possibility that a 2x8" column could offer but that is not in the works at this time. And your comments about a potential 2x10, well that is interesting....
Lighter weight, MG cab aesthetic, maybe tweeterless? Carbon fiber shell? Lots of stuff not yet in the Genzler family of cabs a 210 could do.
would love to see earlier announcements! I am always excited by what you do bring to the table.
Used to work in marketing for the camera industry and we tended (though not always) to have our announcements coincide with the larger trade shows - usually a teaser a couple weeks prior and a demo of working product during. It just generated the most buzz for the least effort.
I shouldn’t be projecting my previous experience from a different market as the two are somewhat unrelated!

Yes, a 2 x 8 would be cool...smaller and lighter than a 210 but still able to cover some gigs. However, having seen Jeff's post above, I'd be very happy with a 210.

That's the only knock I have against the BA line. The projection. They out project most PA speakers so I get too bassy in the mix for the people standing/ sitting about 50' out from the mains.
I'm hoping when we get back out there my new BA15-3 will give me the thump my ear needs but at just a touch lower volume.
Guess we need array mains for my band.....
For a point of reference Loring plays with a little less volume than me and he is pretty good in the mix after I tell him to turn up a touch. lol.

Any word on Genzler amplification T-shirts?
Hi, everyone, I've been searching for an answer on this, but couldn't find much that was real-world experience. I considered buying the Magellan 800, but I settled on the little 10-2 BA slanted 1-speaker combo with the Magellan 350 amp (all these numbers get confusing so hopefully I described it clearly). My other amps are higher wattage (most often a Trickfish Bullhead), so I figured go smaller. I love it! And now I want one more speaker cabinet for the little combo, but wondering which one... I was thinking just get another slanted 10-2, but has anyone paired the 10-2 with a 12-3 or 15-3 and had success? Normally, I don't mix sizes, but figured that would give the most versatility? My instruments mostly are electric 5 strings, if that affects the answer.
What type of gigs and stage volume are you doing?
Lits of very positive feedback on what you currently have. I started with a single BA12 and it worked well on fairly noisy rock gigs.
An MG112 and an MG350 got stage volume done for me with a loud rock band (three guitars because gross). Smaller country gigs that combo worked all on its own. I love 10s, so another BA 10-2 would be my vote.
Mostly small to medium venue...nothing too loud or punishing. More so it's that I don't want to worry too much about pushing it too hard if I pair it with the Trickfish 1K amp that I also really like (which is why I was interested in getting one more cabinet). I was mostly just curious how the different sizes mixed with each other.
There are members here that use a combination of the BA12-3 and BA10-2 cabs and love how they perform together. One or two more BA10-2's is also a popular route.
I'm getting some serious option paralysis looking at the bass arrays, haha. I think I either want to go with all 12-3s or 10-2s but I'm trying to think of how many slant versus straight cabs I would want/need.

I am also going to get the mg350 or mg800 paired with the 10-2 and12-3, when I can try them both out, shops are not open here in the UK. Jeff Genzler has said that he knows several players using that mix of cabs with great results. My reason for choosing a mix of cabs is versatility, and I also like the punch and response of a 10" and the depth of a 12". Others here have said the 2x 12-3 is great.

I've got both heads, one in the 10-2 combo. I've used the combo on top of 2 12-3's, sounds great, no different than the 800 head other than that head's drive channel. The 350 doesn't seem to be lacking in volume for the situations I've used it in especially when paired with additional cabinets.
To me the ultimate versatile rig is the 10-2 combo and two 12-3's. Portability in the combo, and the extra cabinets when more oomph is needed. The head is attached in the combo so one less thing to carry and it goes into a single well padded bag.
Combo and two cabs fit in the back of my vw tiguan, including the 350 combo in it's padded bag (which makes it as big of not bigger than a 12-3). No need to remove the kid's car seats to travel to a show or practice.
