I may look for a used Streamliner to try with my TV12. I’m guessing the would be a nice combination as well.

Interesting. The Streamliner is one of the few Genz Benz / Genzler items I've never owned or tried. I'm off to do some research...
I considered it too, but everything I read and from my experience with the MG350, said the MG series was an improvement near universally. That said, I'd try one if found for a reasonable cost.
I'm a big fan of the Streamliner. Played one for several years.
I describe that as "blissfully pillowy"
Now I play a Magellan, which I describe as "surgically warm". That's the A (blue) channel, where I usually hang out. Amber channel can get more gnarly, and that's what I turn on for Immigrant Song. Other than that, I'm very happy in the blue.

I suppose there's something odd about looking at an old amp (that's not a collector thing like a B15 or whatever) as an option over brand new and very successful new amps from the same maker. Yet, I think the Genz Benz stuff has "aged" very well. There currently is no true "tube" amp option in the line up so If one wants a tube pre you need to go back.
I have never been a big tube guy, but after using my REDDI for a DI with my IEM's I have to say it sounds really nice. There's nothing wrong with how the NG350/12T-V combo sounds. It's awesome. But...that's why I started thinking about what I could do to get that sound while keeping small, light and portable.
Me as well. I stick to the A channel and only hit the B channel for Badfinger's "No Matter What You Do".
There is one room that I play in and had a real boomy issue. Jeff G sent me some great advice to address the issue and I play that room with the B channel all night and a bit of low end boost and I'm a happy camper with no boom issues.
I tend to stick to the A (blue) channel as well. I use the B once in a while, but mostly blue. I guess I like the blue lights better.
To switch to the B channel and boost the bass a tab and pull back on the mids. It got me close to my preferred A channel tone without the Boom. Jeff was very helpful. He took the discussion offline. He listened to my problem and after describing the room and my issues, He gave the solution as above and it worked like a charm the next time I played that room.
I think I wrote about my experience with Jeff when it happened ( few years ago now). Its one of the many benefits of using the Genzler gear. I came here for help when it happened and the man himself chimed in and helped directly.
I would advise anyone here if you ever run into a problem. Post here most likely someone has experienced something similar and if not tag Jeff.
While not optimal, the MB cab with the MG800 sounds even better than I expect it to. Finally hearing the head through more than my monitors is amazing!
I like the cab a lot. It's the head that I'm not a major fan of. I would say it's a great head for some... and usable. I actually prefer it over the darkglass microtubes 500 which I sold and stuck with markbass. But this Magellan is on another level for tone, I hear MY bass and MY technique so well. The markbass is really transparent as well to be fair. I can't justify keeping the Markbass combo, my ampeg, and then grabbing array cabs so the Peg and the MB are gonna go.
I, too, have had personal interaction with Jeff a couple times. He called me on a Saturday morning to discuss a minor issue. That's one reason I have been playing his stuff since way back in the Genz Benz days. CS, great sounding and looking gear that's easy to use and lasts. I have been seduced by another brand on occasion, but at this point I don't see a big benefit in switching.
Ditto as well on all the Jeff praises, he reached out to me on multiple occasions and went far beyond the surface level of helpful. Don't see myself ever switching at this point.
I really need to find contour A settings that work for me, maybe it takes getting my ear more acquired to it as I've never really been a huge fan of mid scoop.
I do know that the curves on this amp are less extreme, I just haven't found a use for the added boom and sizzle. Makes me feel like I'm playing on steel strings which is not my preference but I need to overcome this to get the maximum versatility out of this amp.

I go between 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock and then boost a bit of the mids - if you search there should be a pic of my settings. Your bass is a different beast then mine but you could start there and start adjusting...
The settings below were to get that serious feel it in your chest kinda thing and is a little more extreme than I usually go ... Right now I'm more boosting the high mids knobs are at 1 o'clock and 2:30 o'clock and contour A is at 9:30
Thanks! I just remembered that most of the time I'm listening to just the post DI out without a cabinet sim so there definitely is more raw and harsh top end than there otherwise would be.
I also remember a long while ago I was jamming loud in a GC with around the amount of contour A you have pictured there. It sounded amazing with a pick and heavy fingers!

I’m playing a passive Fender Jazz thru a Backlined Ampeg 810 fridge of dubious vintage and keeping up with a Bonham style drummer. I generally wouldn’t play with this much treble, but was cutting thru so well. Blue channel mostly, Amber for one song (Immigrant)

I'll try to post my settings later, but I just got a ShiftLine Oly IIIs and was using the 800 as a power amp. Gotta say, so far I prefer the Genzler.
