Genzler Amplification Club

Just to be clear, this is NOT a Genz Benz product. No way, no how. Looks like they used a bumper sticker for the logo. Both speakers look to have different cones. Bad, bad, bad. Frankly this pisses me off.
Looks like crap.
Thanks for showing it, but be warned!!

Thanks for the head's up. I don't think it's on my radar - but now someone's lawyers have a "license plate number" :smug:

Post proof!
Hope it was a fun gig!

I posted picks of this venue from a previous gig...see post number 9589...I didn't take any new pics from tonight.

Yes, it was a fun gig. A very well attended restaurant/lounge, and everyone was quite cheerful celebrating Mother's Day. A musician in the audience came up during a break and commented how well the bass covered the venue and really filled out the sound, even when the guitarist (the only other instrument in the band, no additional guitarist this time) took a solo.

Once again I had no need to use any EQ. It's just amazing how good this combo sounds straight "out of the box".

Thanks for flagging that! My Google search didn’t bring it up.

PMed.

I have 3, but 2 would be enough. So if you want one:

Did some scratch tracking with the MG800 DI for a cover I have in the works but was running into some mushy/undefinied low end problems in the mix. Contour B was the culprit, at least in the context of this particular song with my particular rig.

Honestly I don't know if I've ever used this amp with the contour off but sure enough that solved a good 90% of the EQ problems off the bat. Made my clean channel sound better too, I never knew how fun channel switching was until recently. Going to be playing with the contour off for a while to get my ears acclimated.

Your eq flat as well?

Your eq flat as well?

Yes, all noon on the amp. Mids at 750ish area. Pedal and active preamp EQ at noon as well so "flat" in a sense but is no doubt imparting some kind of additional EQ. Still running that Bass Array 1x12 IR and it really is awesome so thank you very much again for that.

I'll keep tweaking til I'm satisfied and I'll eventually post the cover for some feedback when I'm good and ready.

Hey guys,
What drive pedal(s) do you like using with your Magellan heads? Just want to see what people like these days.

I use a Darkglass B7K Ultra before my MG800. It is used for some mild breakup on the high end only.
