Genzler Amplification Club

I didn’t use the 4OTF yesterday for any kind of boost as I didn’t need it. I did use my Empress compressor though, and wow that helped. I have been debating a BAmp as an “all in one” for me. But hauling the REDDI and Nano board or the BAmp is about the same, and while the BAmp is nice, it’s not really meant for the floor.

I agree about the voicing of the cabs. I did try a BAmp and 212 NXT and it sounded great, but at almost $2,500, I didn’t think it was that’s much greater. And I only use an amp like 4 times a year. So I think I’m sticking to my MG350/12T-V for a while. I’ll keep using the Empress/4OTF/REDDI for my DI/IEM gigs - which is 95% of my gigs.

If I used a stage cab, I would probably just use my amps DI. The REDDI is sweet, but if the amp was already there…

I have the BA 12-3 and BA 10-2 stack and it sounds great. A bit richer and boomer than 2 BA 10-2s. But I'm still wondering how 2 MG 12T-Vs would stack up against the 12-3 & 10-2. After all, the MG 12T-V is lighter, and I'm getting old.

Many more posts like this and I may end up with *both* stacks!

@RColie thanks much for the perspective. I liked my CN112s but those are my only Bergantino experience. I love the B|amp. That and my Magellan 350 sit next to each other. I figured the solo BA10 might get lost a bit if paired with the BA15, but was hoping the BA12 and 15 would pair well. Unfortunately no place is within a 1000 miles to try… I do like the BAs so far, just want a bit more depth which I figured the BA15 might provide.

steve has both 15 and 12 BA cabs…

@SadowskySteve can give his 2c

as do I, but I usually use the 15 singly, for my stinky country cover bar band.
I suppose if we played a large room, or festival gig, and wanted more cab, I'd bring the 12 along for the ride.
I'm already on record as very happy with the 410+12 combo. That's pretty much my Zeppelin live rig.
I'm thinking 410+15 combo would work if I was doing reggae or something like that (I'm not).

So we are playing the main stage of a country festival this evening with a good chance of rain. As peel-offs are fairly quick after our set regardless of precipitation, I'm considering trying out my bastardized NC-212T (Not Genzler's issue. I bought used and should have done more inspection of it prior to accepting shipment...) instead of my BA cabs.

Gah! This is a tough decision.

Man! Wish I had as many options as the rest of y’all! I’ll be rocking my one and only tonight…but no complaints from me!

Hey, a great 410, a nice head, good tuner and a 5 string will cover just about any gig a “normal” player will have. Nothing to apologize for in that pic.

Next week I'll have a tasty Bergantino Forte and Genzler BAS12-3. Really looking forward to these. I think it's gonna be crazy good. Many thanks to Greg at Rocket Music for helping me with the decisions, he was awesome.
I use a B|amp with a BA12-3. Love the two in my music space. You’ll like yours I think. If you like overdrive, the 4 On the Floor by Genzler is tasty.

What strings do you use on that TL5?
I bet it sounds great through that rig!

Typically I use super light D’Addario nickels. Right now I have the same version of Ernie Balls on there. It’s not a bad sounding bass….but I currently do have a Muckelroy 5 string being built. Got a couple more months to wait on that one though. The Muck will easily go into the number 1 slot once it’s finished and the TL will become the backup.

Greg is a great guy. We’ve done a little business in the past.

I think the Berg head and Genzler cabs would be a great combo. I like Genzler heads and Berg cabs as well. I’ve played Genzler a long time. I love my 12T-V. I’m guessing a Bamp on top would be awesome.

Seriously, these 2 companies merged would be the ultimate for me.

I would love to just see a joint product.
