I'm in a 5-piece rock & blues band and practice with a 112 but never gig with one. We have a good FOH system and IEM's so just use an amp for onstage monitoring but IME, even a stout 112 doesn't fill the stage the way a good 115 does. An amp that can drive up to 400 watts into an 8-ohm cab has enough headroom to allow me to push my onstage cab a bit and sound good. If this NC-115T can deliver the goods this way, it sounds like a good cab to try. I like the taller, vertical profile and inset handles.

It’s a nice cab for sure but the BA112-3 has better specs so the 15 vs 12 argument is too general.

If you like classic 15" tone, and you're playing rock and blues, the NC-115T should be something to check out. We worked hard to deliver that classic 15" roundness, without the 15" mid stuffiness that are usually part of what these cabs have been in the past. A classic/modern cab is a nice description of this series.

I have really been loving the BA15-3 that replaced my 410-3, but I had some regrets about losing it. Guitar Center priced dropped a used BA410-3 to $899 so I had to pull the trigger. This should be huge sounding! I am pretty excited! I hope my V4B doesn’t fall off the top of the slanted stack, the 15-3 alone almost bumped it off the other day.

There has been several discussions about this. Bar mats and shelf liners are popular here. Tool Box liner from Harbor Freight has been my choice. According to the posts I've read these solutions do work. Have fun.

I have a BA15 with two BA12s on top of it with two MG350s on top of all that. I need a computer to run the IEMs and a shelf liner completely does the trick in terms of keeping the laptop from sliding off the MG350s. I use those things all over the place where slippage may be an issue.

Shelf liner will do the job. I have two BA210-3 SLT and they have a pretty steep angle, but the Gorilla Grip shelf liner which I got from from Amazon works amazingly well. Keeps my MG800 and pedalboard (when I use it) solidly in place on top.

Okay, quick update: it's been a while since I've actually put my Magellan 350 to work. It's been used at home for low volume stuff for a year or so.

Tonight I used it to power my Berg 212 cab at practice and I can't believe (I forgot) how great these sound.

It's so tiny, so powerful, and so full and rich sounding that it's staying at the practice space full time.

My other amp is way more powerful on paper, but I lacked absolutely nothing in headroom or volume tonight. I'm ashamed of myself. Should've been using this the whole time...

Now I know! Onward!

The tool drawer liner works like a charm, thanks hive mind!

The used 4x10 I acquired had loose tolex flapping about in the ports, probably why they sacrificed it to guitar center. A bit of gorilla tape and I’m back in business. Sadly the BA410-3 is a bit disappointing with my V4B compared to the 15-3, the 410 craves more power. Not daunted by this discovery I dusted off the old Magellan 800 and I now am in writing this message to you from tone heaven. It’s just amazing. The 410-3 and 15-3 with Magellan head is a game ending combination.

View attachment 5201037 I have a pair of the Nu Classic 210 that I run with either a PF-50t, TH700 or a Quilter BB800…sounds great with all of them. I am super interested in the NC 115 now for home use. Anyone have real experience with them yet?
Pic is before I got an unfortunate tear in the grill fabric. Side question, anyone have a good resource for quality grill fabric?

The boy playing some jazz at a local silent auction for charity…only used the 212 as it was plenty for the space. He accompanied some prerecorded standards and did some freestyle jamming using his looper. Then it was off to rehearse on the upright for the school musical. Not as tidy a setup as usual, but he literally came home from school, changed and we were out and setting up right before it started…oh well.

I've been loving the recently added NC212T. It's been out on 5-6 gigs over the last 2 weeks, and it adds so much. Outside on a bandstand it was just a huge addition, and was able to carry the stage without breaking a sweat. I was able to really open up the MG800 (master about noon, whereas I normally run it at 9).

Curious where you ran your input/trim, and pad on or off. With one active bass I used this weekend I was probably around noon, pad on and still had the master only around 9. And even controlled that much it was still very loud. I can't imagine getting to noon or beyond in nearly any situation without risking speaker damage.

It really is an incredible stack, you would really have to try to make it sound bad!

I used the Bass Array stack first in a busy bar environment and outdoors at a biker rally the following morning. The Magellan 800 proved useful for matching the gains of my electric and EUB. I would normally use a pedal for this task but I decided to use the clean gain and blue curve for the upright and the drive channel and amber curve for the electric. Both gave me the sound I wanted to hear with minimal fussing about tone, simply changing the contour was all the tweaking that was required. It’s nice to have one less thing to worry about when trying to switch instruments quickly, amber lights for electric and blues for the EUB.
