Cost wise you would be better to get a nice used Genzler 800 and 1 of the BA210-3 arrays. Still very lightweight at 38lbs and 500 watts. Will give you everything you wold ever need for small or large venues.
Some truth here. I do always bring both cabs for the stackability and I angle my combo up for listening. That's why I like the 350 and additional cab idea. If the 210 were a vertical cab.....
One thing I've found very impressive is just how much sound a single 12 is capable of putting out. I can easily see myself using just my MG112T on smaller stages. I've been using only that cab at a few rehearsals lately with a rock side project I'm doing, and it's been more than enough. Never would have thought it until I tried it.
My Markbass LM III died about a year ago and I haven't been able to justify spending $350 to get it fixed, so I've been going back & forth between my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and my Genz Benz Streamliner 900. Both are pretty good, but I wasn't totally happy. I sold the Shuttle to one of my students, along with an Epifani 210 I almost never used. I found a great deal on a 6 month old Genzler Magellan 800 here the other day and jumped on it. It arrived this afternoon and I've been playing through it for the past 2 hours using my Revsound RS110T. It sure sounds great with both my Pedulla Pentabuzz and my trusty homemade red fretted P/J. I'll try it with my RevSound RS210 tomorrow, but I'm sure it will be great.
I'm playing with the James Montgomery Blues Band & Jon Butcher at NASWA at Weir's Beach on Saturday from 2-5 and then with my jazz trio at the SeaDog in North Conway that same evening from 8:30-11:30 so it will get a real workout. By that time I should have a solid idea as to what it can do after that. I'll post a picture when I get some time after the weekend.

I'd love to see an updated version of the magellan 800 this year.
- add a high voltage, real tube preamp.
- get rid of the drive and contour controls and use that front panel space for an adjustable hp filter and second set of mid band controls.
I'm going to be receiving my 3rd Magellan to use for the better part of a year while my shoulder/bicep heals up and will be using a lot of extra pedals to get all these features. If a version like I just described, I would spend the money for it.
Things like compression, overdrive, contour controls and fx are all too subjective. A solid tube preamp, go filter and a great mid band eq like the one currently used in the magellan are real tools for the gigging bassist. Thanks for listening Jeff. It's No secret that I do prefer class ab lead sled amps and tube preamp but, the genzler magellan is the top of the heap when it comes to class d.

The Warranty is not officially transferable but since we've only been shipping the amp for a little over 1 year, we would extend a couple of more years of Warranty to you. You can log on to our website and Register under the Warranty tab. You can place a note in the registration about purchasing used.
Frankly this is just an administrative exercise. We've not had 1 failure of the MG 800 amplifier since we started shipping in January 2016. (knocking on wood as I type).
Thanks Jeff. I'll do that today. I met you at NAMM 2 years ago when you were just starting to show these amps. I came by fairly early on Friday and played my Ristola fretless through the 800 and one of your cabinets, maybe the one with the array. I was impressed then, and I'm even more impressed now! I've been a fan of your work for many years, and as I said previously I've owned several of your amps, and still own a Streamliner 900. However, this is significantly better for me, for the sound I am looking for. Great job man!

Very interested to hear your gig report. I've gigged many times with both Benz heads, and the little mark.
