I saw that after going back and reading all the missed posts. I guess I’ll be spending more time in the “Watched Threads” list versus relying on the notifications. Grrrrrrrrrr.
Fb page shows a very tall array with a slightly off center driver behind - a betting man would put odds on a 2x12 BA with one speaker slightly right and one slightly left…
I’m betting that one of these new 2x12 array cabs would sound marvelous on my 15-3. Hopefully the tax man is kind to me this year!
OH MY, a possible 1 cab solution that is possibly better than my BA15-3? Anxiously awaiting specs!
Those of you with the kinetix, how would you compare its tone to an SVT or Mesa 400? I’m very happy with my axe fx 3 plus power amp setup with a BA410, but the one downside is that I have no backup if something happens to the axe FX. I’m considering potentially getting a Genzler Kinetix or a Mesa amp (most likely a TT800 if I went Mesa) to swap my power amp out with so I can run the axe FX into the return and then just swap to the front input as my backup.
I like the idea of the kinetix being all tube, having a tube driven DI (which also frees me up from running a tube DI model in the axe fx) plus a more straightforward EQ section (I’m not a big fan of voicing controls), I just don’t know how it’s character compares to the more classic amps like an SVT. I’m not looking to replicate those amps exactly, just curious how the tone would compare to them as a baseline of the comparison.
My current power amp is a crown power amp, so it has no preamp abilities whatsoever.

If I had my druthers, the cab would be 4 ohms, the twelves in line with each other, and an array of tweets running right down the middle!
But I just said like ten posts back, my single twelve is enough for me. But a two twelve array hmmmmm …..
I usually gig my MG 800 with either the NC 112/NC 212 depending on the room. But this combined studio rig is glorious - I’ve always loved the GBE 1200, repurposing it this way sounds awesome.

I just got my hands on a Genzler Magellan MG800 in a trade (would love a club #
). I’m currently running a Bergantino NXV212 but I am looking to downsize.
I’d like to hear some opinions on the Nu Classic 210T. Particularly as a stand-alone cabinet. I have read good things in this thread but would like a bit more info from owners.
I play everything from <100 pax small bars with no PA to 1000+ pax theatres with PA support.
I like an “old school” tone and play a pair of vintage P basses. I play mostly soul, blues and rock music.

Have an MG350 Combo story to share.
I had a CV 60s Jazz Bass listed locally that I had upgraded as I typically do with Bill Lawrence&Becky/Wilde J45 pickups, and a Babicz FCH Bridge. I'd also replaced the electronics, had the frets leveled and polished, and set it up with new GHS Pressurewound strings. I had it listed this way but also without the pickup and bridge upgrades for a couple hundred dollars less intending to remove them and replace the stock parts should a buyer not want it with upgrades.
Had an interested buyer who stopped by to check it out who was interested in buying it stock. But once he'd played it through my MG350 Combo he said there was no turning it back. He wanted it as is and never quarreled at all over my price which was actually quite good for a bass that sounded and played as well as it did. I was pretty happy to not have to do the work to return it to stock and happy for the buyer since I knew how good a bass he was truly getting.
But we all know how often buyers will simply not pay what I was asking for a Squier no matter how much it can be improved with a few upgrades. It's why I offered it without them for less money. But I finally had a buyer who didn't care about what it said on the headstock more than the quality of the bass itself. And I have to give credit to my amp for how good that bass sounded through it. That's what helped make the sale but I was also a little sorry to see it go.
He was also amazed at the output and sound quality of the amp for how small it was. He was a guitarist just getting into playing bass himself but his sister is a working bassist and I encouraged him to ask her to check out Genzler amps and speakers especially the Bass Array cabs. I believe it did a pretty good selling job on those as well thanks to thanks to my experience and the short demo. Now I have most of what I need to buy that second BA 10-2 S2 cab.
