Genzler Amplification ! New Genz Benz ?

They look sharp

Just pulled the trigger on 2 BA12-3:

Mighty impressed. Handled last night's nightmare scenario of 6 guitarists and one keyboard player on stage at the same time with absolute competence and confidence:

Highly recommended!

I was able to try out the 212T and came away VERY impressed. I've been a big Bergantino user and this can easily hangs with any of Jim's offerings that I've tried, IMO of course.

I had a GK MBF800 hooked up to it and was pleased with the pairing. Strong and full, yet controlled lows and excellent mids. And of course it's stupid light as well. Felt lighter than my old CN212 even, regardless of the weight spec.

My only comment is that I wonder if there's an option for black covering. But regardless, Jeff has a winner here!

Prolly the keyboard. While the guitarists are busy fidgeting, making faces, and generally cancelling each other in the mix, a keyboard player's left hand will potentially ruin the entire low end, thus transforming bass heaven into a mud pit.

So, beware of tone-canceling musicians in the mix. Like the photo, they are easily identifiable. They are the ones wearing hats.

I tried both the 212 and the BA12-3 and ultimately decided to go with 2 BA12-3 - detailed account here if interested: Invalid Link Removed

Both great cabs by the way.

I used the new Magellan 800 prototype on a low Vol. gig last night. TOnight i will play the normal Vol..
It was very punchy out of the gate.. I was using a non Tweeter cab ( old bag end 112) so i messed with EQ a bit to get some more highs.
I played my Alleva coppolo KBP4 which is basically a pre CBS fender P bass/ with rounds and output that is exactly like an old fender
People will ask is the FAN LOUD??? On a gig you will never hear it. And in my Living Room it is silent too.. Very reminiscent of the older Genz Benz Fans.. This one seems to be set back into the chassis a little bit so it is basically undetectable unless you put your ear right up the chassis .

More to come..
I have a super busy week coming with a trip to Connecticut at weeks end.. So i may not get time to come here until after Jan 1n But ill try

Kirk, what are you coming to CT for?
to see both side of my family for Christmas and my father passed away two weeks ago so we will have a get together for the whole bunch of us. I haven't seen my brother or sisters in a year so it will be fun. And annoying at the same time Lol
