Any tube brand/model recommendation ?

I’ve rolled a number of vintage (and new) 12AX7’s through my SM 9.2 and the differences is very slight.
For good measure it has an old Telefunken in it right now.

I am very thankful for being given the privilege and being able to join in testing this amplifier..

Last night I played the Magellan in a rock setting.. I only Ran one Uber 115 @ 8Ω. But i drove it hard as the night went on.. They wound up putting a mic on it with no DI...
Last night was a 3 piece gig so i am able to stretch and play chordal passages at times and add double stops without getting in the way.. So i take full advantage!
TOnight will be a loud gig. I always wear earplugs...

The one thing that i noticed as soon as my hands warmed up, was that the Tone of the amp holds together as i go up the neck, and i didn't lose the body of the note .
Im guessing the amp is about 400 watts at 8 ohms or so..

Without sounding like a fanboi or shill or (or going back on what i used to say about traditional style amps and how much i like the feel of them ) It seemed like it has power in reserve... It did not get thin when i pushed it.. and has a sort of traditional amp sound with thickness.

I have NO idea what power module they are using ... But it does have a "FEEL" (important to me ) that is different than the ICE 250 Modules used in so many amps.... Maybe it is a 250? . If so i eat my words. But it has a different feel than my Streamliner, shuttle 9, SM9.2 and GK MBF800.. It sounds fuller, richer and bigger without boom ...

Since this is a prototype, i bought another amp with me.. Just in case... !
I didn't need it.. I have been playing the other amp a lot since last summer .. So i am used to it.. and i know that if i traveled north of the 9th fret it would thin out the higher notes. Not so with this amp.. Each note has weight and fullness..
I used the cleanest setting .
I enjoyed it and will take it on a what i consider to be LOUD gig today..

Wow. Those are difficult to get, even here in Germany. But good to know that the SM9.2 will keep it's good sound with other brands too.

Tequila... I was in Poland on a gig.. After the show we went out. I had a few Tequilas.. Just a few. The next morning my face hurt so much . my facial muscles felt like the did 1000 push ups because i was smiling so much the night before...
