Genzler Amplification ! New Genz Benz ?

Update: so I finally got around to making the 6 speakon cables last night needed to hook up all 6 cabs. Got a chance to play all 6 this afternoon at rehearsal using my lab gruppen IPD2400. 2400 watts to power all 6 cabs, I used my Michael Pope MPP-1 pre with my REDDI DI at the back end of the pre before going into the amp. Wowsers...OMG! The tone and sound was unbelievable! Everyone was left speechless with there mouths to the floor. The headroom I had was stupendous. I hooked up my wireless system and decided to walk around while the band played. My goal was to to see how my tone sounds to the audience. If you haven't tried that I recommend you do because often times what you hear standing by the cab has a different prospective when heard 100 ft away. I've learned that what sounds like to much tremble or mids or bass at the cab sounds just right a distance away where the audience sits. These speakers really cut thru the mix well the best I've ever heard in my 20 years playing therefore I find that you really don't need a lot of volume to be heard. I hooked up 3 at first just to see what it would sound like and it was more than enough...now the 6 together..... WOW.....6 is definitely stadium level gig volume nevertheless, very impressive to just look at and somewhat intimidating as they bully their way thru the music. Right down astonishing! I gave them all some nice juice to see what they could do and the volume got stupid loud and never farted. As I was standing in front of the cabs adjusting my tone every time I hit a note it actually felt as if I was being smacked in the face and chest with the sound. It felt as if someone was actually physically hitting me. I actually had to turn down some of the highs and mids on my bass and I normally keep those flat at center detent. The REDDI really brings life into every note. With that being said, I definitely no longer feel the need to add another 3 cabs for a total of 9. I'll just stick with the 6. Besides I'm afraid of being label the first bass player who's sound actually killed someone at a gig-lol it's just that loud! I definitely don't see myself using anymore that 2-4 at a time with the 6 coming at outdoor events or stadium gigs. But I'm definitely keeping the 6. Looking forward to seeing how all 6 sound with 2 Magellan 800's powering them. The second head should be here early next week. I'll give another review then. You guys are funny but I will receive the crowning as these cabs are truly of royalty. After playing again and listening to the tone of the line arrays at least to my ears I really believe that the BA12-3 really is a mixture between a 12" and a 10" speaker. Sounds like I get the benefits that both speaker sizes bring to the table. The 12" for the nice tight low end bass and the 10" for that nice gritty punch. On top of that you get the smoothest highs and mids that I've ever heard. I suspect this has a lot to do with the line array (4)-3" speakers. Guys this technology is truly amazing!

Played a rock gig (Early Warning - Baby Animals; Tie Your Mother Down - Queen; Panama - Van Halen; etc., you get the idea) last Thursday, and our guitarist recorded the whole set. Camera was close to stage so mostly stage sound using the setup previously posted (Z2 into Magellan 800 into 2 BA12-3).
Just listened to the recording, and it's just beautiful. Very happy with the quality of the sound (playing, well, that's a whole different story
), punchy, clear, can hear every single note played, with authority. Can hardly imagine what x3 would sound like 
.

Hmmm..... interesting observations 9 & 3/4. Certainly there is an immediacy with this design due to the array and the fact with their crossover point they are projecting mids and upper mids that many like from a 10" woofer. This design just produces and projects those frequencies in a completely different way.
Your comments do give me food for thought.....
Just placed my order for a Magellan 212. Never got around to owning a NeoX, but I always wanted one. Hopefully, I will be able to follow up with a Magellan 800 later this year.

I noticed that high smoothness also, love that tone. On my Sunday morning PW gig I play thru an Ampeg BA-112 combo. Before rehearsal I had to do a bunch of adjusting on the Ampeg combo clicking thru the 5 preset channels, cutting back treble, adding a bit more bass, a bit of mids. Then on my Spector NS-2 9V HAZ pre bass dimed out, cut treble back to 11:00 and a little more toward the neck pickup. I was able to get close to what I was getting with my 2 BA-12-3s and M-800 but not quite. I was thinking, man I should bring my Genzler rig! But for only 20-30 minutes of live playing, I don't see myself hauling my gear. Second thought, I just may. I've sure wanting to!

1st week with my Genzler - home and church. Our sound tech loves it 
At church I wear in-ears, so I only get to hear it directly at setup, and what I heard was SAWEET! I'm using 2 Baer ML-112 cabs split - one on each side of the stage area. I'll be able to experience the whole thing at our TB/MNBassMasons GTG on Mar 6, when I stack it up.

I think you'll be very pleased in the performance of the MG 212T. For a 2x12 cab I think you'll like like the form factor as well.

I'm sort of tongue tied and loss for words at how to describe the tone and that's the only thing I could compare the tone to....a mixture of both a 10" and 12" which is great. Definitely unlike anything else on the market. Just absolutely mouth dropping tone! In fact playing these speakers have made me quite prideful....I now find myself sticking my chest out while playing my chops often feeling like this....
As of now the only company that has been able to make me feel this way is Genzler!
