Here (Hear? What? :roflmao:). Nothing special planned for the weekend, just dinner with some friends tomorrow, and getting ready for the ABR (Architectural Board of Review) in a few days, for our driveway/foundation project. Went to see the surveyor today to get some hard copies of the site survey we had done a couple weeks ago.

Good luck with the hydroponics, Will. Maybe, check in with the Biosphere 2 folks.

Looks just like Sitka, right? :D
Hey! Where'd you get a picture of my house?????
Thanks @Jeff Scott . I'll keep everyone posted on my 11" hydroponics micro greens farm! If Carey likes, we're going to buy bigger equipment and dedicate some home space to growing greens. I like the idea that they aren't full of Roundup!

Attended a vintage car show in a park today. They were pre Ford model-T vehicles, the craftsmanship was really something to behold.

A huge wooly dog that looked like a teddy bear came over to see me. Little did I know that he wanted to wipe his snotty nose on my hand. It was fine with me.

Stopped by a music store. They had a wall of ukuleles. I was disappointed to see their Martin models that they stocked were made in Mexico. The Nazareth PA made ones are pretty expensive, thousands vs hundreds for Mexican ones. The Fender ones were opaque colors. Many other makes came from China. Didn’t see any that peaked my interest other than I decided that I want a tenor without a built. They had two bass models with plastic tape wrapped strings that were fatter than any electric bass that I’ve seen.

Students continue to disrupt the neighborhood well into the wee hours. They started their chants at 7AM. No respect for anyone. A cop told the elderly lady next door that if she didn’t like it she should move out, that’s what he did.

What is so 'special' about these people that they are allowed to disturb the peace? What are they chanting about?

The cops don’t do anything, neither does the school. Unless of course something happens to these children.

They go around in groups of fifty or so, singing drinking songs related to their frosh activities or whatever makes noise. Multiple groups at any time. They want everyone to know that they are there and groups are competing with one another to make their presence known. They won’t even move over on the sidewalk for people.

We’ve live around here for 45 years. It never used to be like this. It seems to get worse every year.

Ridiculous. I'm glad that I live in the country.

That's pretty awful and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it. I often feel a bit bad for my neighbors with all the music we have here, but we try very hard to keep our noisy activities to periods when people will be awake and active. Late night and early morning noise is just rude.

It's one of the main reasons I live in the country...generally just dont choose to see or hear other people. It's a GOF/curmudgeon thing. The only downside is no pizza delivery.

I got so burned on living 'in town' when I was married. At one point, we lived one a street where the pizza delivery persons got held up so much, they gave up. No pizza delivery. :rollno:
What really got old was the 'emergency siren soundtrack'. Every night. I moved back to the country after the divorce and am not leaving until my soul departs from this body...
