We learned to write programs that rewrite their own code. We could do with humans who can rewrite their own code to greater ends than exploiting others for their personal needs and emotional gratification. I'll just be over here having an apéritif if we have any joiners.

FORTRAN II supported self modifying code. That was fun when having to read a dump.

I hate tracking down the Heisenbugs - thread timing issues.

Sometimes the bugs aren't in the code.

Our help desk received the same message from the same client every Monday morning: the system's all boogered up. What was meant (took a good bit of effort to extract these infos) is somewhere on Sunday night / Monday morning the servers up and died.

Considerable detective (Sorry, I spell my name "Danger") work lead to the discovery of a janitor who plugged his floor buffer into the UPS unit to wax the floor of the computer room. A little strange considering the floor was one of those "things flying everywhere when the halon goes off" deals.

Yeah humans. We're rooting for you ;)

Unfortunately, I am not, currently, grumpy. Sorry, folks. :crying:

We went to see Steve Hackett tonight. He did the Spectral Mornings and Selling England by the Pound albums, along with some new material of Steve's. They also did "Dance on a Volcano", and encored with a jammed out "Los Endos"

Amazing, almost three hour, show!!! :bassist:

I'll make sure I am grumpy, again, by tomorrow morning. :D
