He appears to be staring angrily that the BandMaster head like it said something nasty to him.

I think he's plugged into ALL the amps! The Sunn rig is for just his low E string.

I had to make do with the Traynor YBA3

Had one of those... loved it. Pumped it into Fender 2X15" and 4X12" bottoms. My wall of bass!

This week, I discovered that animals have their own bathrooms in the Newark Airport. There’s a hallway. They have entrances to the woman’s and the men’s rooms, in the middle is a unisex animal restroom. A new one on me.

Folks been traveling with their animals probably longer than recorded history. Of course, that's strictly a human perspective.

Dogs, horses, and livestock used to follow the wagons. This evolved into serving chicken on flights.

The only saving grace of Newark International is it's not LaGuardia. Not really sure why all the New York metro area airports are, well, kind of grim.

For a truly frequent traveler, the airline clubs are totally worth every single penny. Can't say I ever saw any pets in there, though. The coffee is free, hey! This is very, very good. And it's very, very good to be in a place where they know me by name, and by sight.

Not so much keen on air travel these days. We need (I need?) a way to get myself from here to there without sitting inside a winged aluminum tube for a few hours. It's exhausting. And no telling if mine is going to be a CBF (crying baby flight). A lot depends on the run and the time of day. Chances of medical emergency delays are much higher on wintertime New York - Florida runs than on your average Monday morning Chicago - New York run. Know how to read your timetables Sometimes there is no choice about what flight to take

What it seems to me is if you take to the skies, a high capacity for boredom is a positive asset.

You have prep packing time. Upon return, everything needs to be washed/disinfected. Sitting in the airport for hours. Last minute cancellations and delays, connections only add to the stress. Not fun at all.

Last night there was a dozen university age boisterous girls going to a wedding hen night. They were spread over the plane but that didn’t stop them from shouting back and forth throughout the flight. Flying to a destination city for a party. Clearly someone else is paying for their indulgence.

Country club gig last evening(5-8). Our setup area had plenty of room for 4 people. Unfortunately, not for four people and instruments. We were squoze. [past perfect of 'squeeze']. Tonight's gig we actually have a spacious stage. I can use my 34 1/2" scale Thunderbird instead of my Jag SS.

My Breville toaster oven gave up the ghost. It was over ten years old so I decided to replace it, the computer went wonky. We decided to go with the same make. They had a slightly larger one in the store, good features, so went with that one. Slightly bigger in the store translates to kind of overwhelming the stage space. We’ll get used to that fast enough. Better than making toast over the stove element.

My doctor told me that I need to eat more fried food. At least that’s how I understood it. I checked out the deep fryers in the store. Not much room for one now on the counter. The new oven has what they call an air fryer. Funny how things like that work out.

Nice sunny but cool day today. First night of the fall that the temperature fell below freezing overnight.

Plan to see an apple grower at the market today.

I’ve heard of being paid scale. Does small stage, short scale bass pay less than larger stage, long scale bass?

A Sanyo personal coffee maker wins my award for longest-lived household appliance. It was a freebie from work and saw daily use for probably more than three decades. Not really sure where coffee makers go when they turn in their fuse. But I hope it's up.

We had our best crop ever this year. The tree's a 4-way graft and you never know which ones you're going to get in quantity from year to year. Tons of Golden Delicious and McIntosh this time around.
