Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

A Sanyo personal coffee maker wins my award for longest-lived household appliance. It was a freebie from work and saw daily use for probably more than three decades. Not really sure where coffee makers go when they turn in their fuse. But I hope it's up.

Are there rules with coffee makers such as never wash them? Some restaurants heat water for tea in the same jugs that they use to make coffee. The tea tastes like coffee. Not good.

I'm a little surprised that at least one wasn't a death metal guitarist (but perhaps that's too obvious), or at least a substitution for the beatnik on the right for someone like say Zamfir and his Pan Flute...

And yeah I know, that post has old guy written all over it in more ways than I'd like to admit. :rollno:

I'm grumpy grumpy grumpy today!! Literally all of my Mac computers don't seem to want to work. Safari won't log into Talk Bass though on this machine, an Imac, Chrome will. The rest don't want to work with the Itunes store where traditionally I've bought the tunes I need to learn. I have three units running osX.6.8 that are affected! The only machine that still seems to work properly is my Mac Book Pro running osX.6.11. I'm more that a little miffed. Additionally on the MacBook, I seem to have picked up a search engine called Marquis that interrupts when I click a link leaving me with an empty search page.

I'm pulling my hair out!!! :(

Edit: And don't get me on to the subject of Parallels!!!!! :banghead:

You have my sympathies.

Isn't that a fairly old version of OSX Paul? I have newer c version than that running that are only a release or two behind and they often lack sufficiently functionality to do even routine things.

1988 is my most recent experience with a Mac, so can't send any effective Mac juju.

It's the office coffee maker that is apparently never clean. And never comfortable around permanently stained coffee mugs. [Overheard] Saw someone at Starbuck's with no iPhone, no tablet, no laptop, just sitting there drinking coffee. Freak. [/Overheard]

Go with the force. You need to upgrade the OS and find a close equivatent of dot's favorite game.

...toaster oven gave up the ghost. ..... the computer went wonky.
Toaster oven - computer: does not compute! When we had to get a new toaster oven we got a simple, maniacal mechanical Black & Decker; does the job expected of it.

We do have a Breville Risotto Plus. Great little kitchen gadget we would replace if necessary.

They sell used toaster ovens at Ray’s Music Exchange in Calumet City.

Not ready to believe I can trust a machine to make risotto. Risotto requires (my) full attention. All's the pity I haven't been able to make risotto with squid ink over here stateside.

I've never (yet) made risotto with parsnips :roflmao:

Saw Brussels sprouts on the stalk today. Walked on by. This time. It's about the end of growers' market for me. One more week, perhaps. Two pig's ears for Odin!

I think that the Breville plug is and absolutely brilliant invention. Have a kettle from them as well.

Dogs love going to the market! Saying hello to people, the smell of food, treats.

Saw Brussels sprouts as well today. Went with fresh cranberries. Cranberry orange bread.
