Aint no biggy, doc. Personally, I think they should publish an annual list of who hasnt died yet. How else can we know? I was startled when Kirk Douglas died...thought he'd been gone for decades.

First let me thank you for the respectful way you brought my mistake to my attention. That is a rare thing sometimes.
Second I am usually pretty good about things like that and at the rate of vintage bass players and vintage basses going elsewhere lately I don't need to be prematurely placing them on the gone but not forgotten list.
Now where did I put that '69 Gibson EB3 I was working on?

I didn't mean all the bands, just the one above Tuna. I knew the others but had not heard of The Sons before, with or without their Champlin. But some one posted about them at about the same time I did.

I started playing bass slide after I sliced my finger open on a broken glass. They put a metal splint on my hand while it was healing so I wouldn’t bend it. I taped a bar to my middle fingers and was off to the races.

I think that’s fascinating...

I’d never thought of it, but now I want to mess with it!

Old people problems. The fast run in that Fleetwood Mac song is kicking my butt and it's causing me to give serious consideration to the possibility that I am slowing down to the point where a short scale bass might be a good thing to own. But I know next to nothing about what's out there and I'm afraid my only experience with SS was my first bass, an old EB0, which sounded and felt pretty awful to me (though I realize some people really love them).
