US Army Field Artillery here. I was in 3d Bn 16th FA HQ Battery. 8" self propelled Howitzers. I think I'm surrounded by Navy!

i have no neck dive on my 66 EB3, very comfortable little bass to play. I too had a Epiphone EB3 for a very short time, it too dived like... a submarine

I volunteered for sub duty but was rejected for being too tall and too near-sighted. I ended up as a sonar technician on a Destroyer so I kind of know from both bubblehead and skimmer viewpoints. By the way, all (US NAVY) bubbleheads are squids but not all squids are bubbleheads...
For one who's never been in the service, or in the service, sure do have a lot of contact over the years. My boss in those merry days as a Leica-swinging photographer saw me working for a former special forces colonel with four tours of duty in 'Nam. Was recruited by said bubblehead at a trade show. He and his accomplice looked like the cosa nostra in their sharkskin suits. Wow, the dress code there.

My rise in rank was kind of like an EKG. SR. SA. HA. HN. HM3. HN. HM3. HN. HM3. HM2. HM3. HM2. HM1. HMC. HMCS. 10 Times before the Master Chief Boards. Final promotion Retired 01/01/01. I am the only one in the Navy with that retirement date as it was a gift from my last CO. At least I was the last time I looked. It has been awhile.

It is interesting how wearing shorts on stage is frowned upon as unprofessional.
I do not recall any posts regarding wearing "masks"....
I just assume the reason for the masks is that they are either "FUGLY" or "fake wrestling" fanboys.

ET to HM? Now that is quite a interesting career move. Not much soldering in the medical field. You must have been heavily in demand. Especially after the joint replacement popularity. Gotta fix those Zirc fittings somehow.
