The radio in my office isn't quite as old as me:

But the record player in my music room has a few years on me:

EDIT to add that I think BassmanPaul played on that recording. :D

I am older (barely) than Rotosound Swingbass strings. Therefore, by default, I am a member. Number, please.

I switched to Rotosound when they first came out, I'd be 18 or 19. I finally found some of the "twang" I had been looking for. Found more when I rewired the electrics in my Gibson EB2 and reworked the "tone coil" as Gibson called it. That Mudbucker absolutely sings without that coil.

Found the rest when I installed long scale Rotosounds onto my new (used) '63 Precision. they were so new you couldn't get them in Liverpool so I had to do a trip up the East Lancs to Manchester to buy a set. Tried the P at a rehearsal that afternoon - I never played the EB2 again.

Well, I'm over half-way through my fifth decade here on earth and yes, I can sometimes be grumpy before I have my first cup of coffee. Hair and mustache have been gray for a while, and a couple of years ago, my eyebrows began turning. They looked pretty funny, actually. :D

What passes for a lawn on my little plot in the countryside is posted "No Trespassing". I have an attack kitty and am not afraid to encourage her... ;) ;) ;)

Sounds like a request?

Born when Truman was Prez, first gig in '62, first band in '65, graduated high school the year of he Tet offensive. I've seen a lot and done a lot, enough to wear my old ass out. I piss my wife off at least once a day, so yes I am grumpy. Still rocking, though. I'll be 64 in two days. Don't need a water hose. If you're on my lawn I'll come out there myownself and kick you off. Gimme a number.
