Listening to the original (?) version brought back memories of seeing Kim Wilson and the Fabulous Thunderbirds doing it live back in the mid 80s.

You got Kim Wilson, IMO the best living blues harmonica player, Jimmy Vaughan on gee-tar, and Keith Ferguson on bass. Keith is not super well know but definitely one of my bass influences.

Agree completely @GonePlaid . Please wear a mask and stay clear at least 6 feet. I only say this because we are in a particularly dangerous age group. While at the emporium, make sure you really really stock up!

We are in a dangerous age group and, at least where I live, also in a dangerous time frame with peak contagion. A couple of weeks ago you could go out and think that the odds of seeing someone who's actually infected were small. Those odds are getting a lot worse. We all need to stay safe!

I was 19 the first time I sang "I am an old woman..."

About a year ago I sang that song when some band I was in tossed me a bone and asked me to do a lead vocal. Weird to sing it again and realize that I actually am an old woman now.

.... and just now as I looked out the window to talk about go gray or re-up the henna I see a cardinal no more than 20 meters beyond the window. And was going to say the lady who mixes the henna to my shade warns of disrupted supply lines. What's left in the freezer is good for maybe two more touch-ups. One, really, but I can stretch it.

Got an automated email this morning reminding me of my Tuesday appointment at the salon and we know that ain't gonna happen right now. Just a computer chucking out what it was told to with none around to turn it off. Probably more than one science fiction / dystopian plot to be woven from that. Just add a hero and a villain, or make it a last girl standing movie ... endless possible ways to twiddle the thumbs of our brains ....

As for hair, I have a strong urge to just buzz all of mine off and find out what's under there. I probably won't, but I want to.

A woman I know who did deep work in an ashram in India told me she felt profoundly changed the moment her head was shaved. And told me she would do it again, really didn't put much to it either way any more. Her hair was a bit longer than shoulder length when she shared these views with me.

Seems with me every time I get long enough to begin feeling pretty happy about everything something changes and it's all Prometheus and pewp again. Two years and a lot of maintenance, and at a cost of a lot of length, after one bad hour in the chair

For 68 I still have a respectable amount of hair yet (some thinning) and because of this stupid virus I couldn't get a barber for 3 months. I was already overdue and my hair got pretty long. When I finally got to my hair stylist (Carey's too) I had her cut it "Military." 3/4" sides and back and four or five on top. It sure felt good. When my hair was longer it was a pain to wash and dry. Now it's wash and wear!

I feel your pain. I started seeing some thinning myself and started using a highly rated anti-thinning shampoo. I'm not being paid for saying it, but it really works. I went through my first bottle and Carey said that it looked thicker after my new haircut. We found a bunch of new growth on my scalp. Honest, this stuff works. I just bought 4 more bottles because of the possible supply shortages in the near future.

Thinning hair happens to most of us. That's life. Nature helps with poor eyesight, you can't see how old you look. In my last photoID, the image looked like someone I didn't recognize as me.
