It's 2:00am in sleepy Sitka and guess who's awake. My nose had been running better than the 8:05 24/7 until I found a good nasal spray. Well I used it religiously three times a day and yesterday it seemed I didn't need it at all. I used it once. Then this morning I woke up with totally plugged nose and used the spray three times today. My nose is finally getting back to behaving. I even tested for Covid for that was a negative. Well thankfully the nose spray is getting back to doing its job.

I got a Dell XPS 15 for my birthday in February. We're paying it off $50 a payday. Almost done. I'm amazed that even though I've been able to turn off most of the annoying notifications, a new one started today. "My MSN settings are out of date???" At work, I always wipe all new computer drives and install a fresh Win10 Enterprise bare bones. I didn't do that with my Win10 Home because I wanted to see what Dell and Microsoft were offering nowadays. Bloatware. I think by next weekend I might my new laptop and do a "skeleton" install. I don't need all the irritating notifications or special Dell XPS updates.

When I was a youngster, a traveling hypnotist rented our small theater in Wrangell and I volunteered to be hypnotized. I played along with the show but truth be told, I never went under his spell. Years later in therapy I confessed that I had faked my hypnosis and the therapist said it was because I had trust issues. I think that was true. I was scared to be put under and controlled by the hypnotist. Some of the other young people seemed to be really hypnotized! Later as time has passed I wish I had allowed myself to be hypnotized just for the experience. I might find a hypnotist and try again just for fun.

We had a nice Labor Day weekend and as promised I cooked for Carey all weekend. We had steak and king crab one night, ribs another, bbq burgers another, and finally a slow cooker pot roast. There is a Knorr slow cooker seasoning pack available and I bought one. It made the roast absolutely heavenly. We'll gnaw on that for a couple days.

p.s. those falling down the hole illusions above are scary!!!!

If you sleep on your side, a firm pillow works best. This elevates your head and helps keep the sinuses drained. It takes a day or two to get used to it. It also prevents snoring. I sleep way better this way.

A soft pillow is recommended for people that sleep on their back and want to snore and have blocked breathing passages.

And you know this how? :roflmao:

There is a Rickenbacker 4001 player out there — 38 years ago now, and presumably out there somewhere still — who staked his claim to the Worst. Job. Ever. Yes, it's at the rendering plant. They show him the suction hose, show him how to operate it, and he leaves at mid-morning break never to return.

A very fine Ric it is, and he is very proud it. Red, guessing a 77.

He also told me about his job surveying a swamp. More fun.

Thanks Beans. Trying that tonight!
