Gonna say who my age didn't want to grow up to be Mrs. Peel besides every last one of you guys.

When I was young more than being her, I wanted to be her boyfriend. :woot::woot:

Dame Diana Rigg was a beautiful class act.

Congratulations!

I've got a $300 gift amount at Amazon. I need to buy something I can sell on eBay or TB and not take a loss. I've looked at a lot of things but I know I'd end up keeping them! Any ideas of something small that would hold its value at brand new selling on eBay or TB? I have to pay off some of my play plastic.

Can you sell the gift certificate? Otherwise buy a gold coin as an investment, around 0.1 troy ounce.

Sadly only redeemable at Amazon. I need the 300 to pay off my play credit card on the last bass I bought. I was thinking about the TE ELF or an Ampeg SVT Micro 200 head but both will be more in shipping costs.

Funny that, Will, I have the Elf and would love the mini-Peg too. To hear tell.
How do you like the ELF? Have had a chance to compare it to the SVT micro? I remember about 20 some years ago playing some Trace Elliott combos and they were pretty great. I'm wondering if the legacy excellent personality of the Trace amps carried on through to the ELF's.

I find the Elf an amazing piece of kit! I've got it pushing two Phil Jones Cab 27s for a 4 ohm load and it's sick. Folks who use the Elf with a fridge report beer glasses shaken off tables. Does it have the legacy Trace sound? Dunno, never played an original Trace. Word is, pretty much yes. Side by side (literally) with the articulate Phil Jones BG-400 and C4, the Elf sounds like rock 'n roll to me.

The stork brought the Elf to me from Ireland, in a sort of funny way. With me apparently adrift between worlds there for a while, my BG-400 was in Ireland and my C4 was with me in the States. So, says I, until we're all in the same place ... and the Elf pairs brilliantly with the C4! The Elf musta wished for its big brother again and with the C4 back with the BG-400, it was time for the Elf's own cabs.

By every account the Trace Elliot cabs that pair with the Elf are very tasty. The Cab 27s looked fun to me. Betcha can't play just one ... And the Elf is very happy at 4 ohms.

That's how I have two rigs :bag:

Truly, I didnt understand one bit of that. But it's alright...my little 15 watt combo takes care of my needs.

what's harder for me to understand is my journey's abrupt change of course 19 years ago today. I see it in the news, and across the interwebs today ... what I saw, and what I did that day ... for every day in this period of time I take the PATH to the WTC to walk across the street for an El Mondo Grosso coffee at Au Bon Pain. This day I see one thing to do and that's ... I guess that's what they paid me for. La. I've lost (probably intentionally) all the stuff that came after, but was asked to share my tale with my associates at my old j school.

Here in 2020 trying to figure out what to do with this passport now that I've finally got it right LOL and the immediate today is the hospital for pre-op in about 30 minutes. It's fusion surgery on the right subtalar joint. Osteoarthritis. Well wasn't going anywhere soon I guess

I hope your procedure goes well and smoothly.

Thanks. Today is pre-op. Writing from the smrtphn here at the hospital. Likely an EKG and maybe a scan for bloodflow to the foot. Unclear of the surgery date.

Did they talk you through the procedure to put you at ease? Somehow it never does.

I would sit Odin down and explain what will be happening and that you’ll need him to look after you while you are recovering. No doubt, he picks up that something is happening.
