There was once (this is not a limerick) a hootchie kootchie dancer who practiced her trade as an act of dharma. She was/is a practicing Nichiren Buddhist. Now and again I'm invited to (and usually politely decline) invitations to Nichiren picnics. They're pleasant gatherings, not my thing, really.

I have not thought about them in decades! An old college housemate in the early '80s got involved with the Nichirens, married one, too.
