He (my friend) has one of those (Speed Graphic). It has the original flash attachment with it. It is from 1932. There are a few older cameras, too.

Medium format cameras are very cool (to me). The practicalities of my own, former, camera work meant fast, light, and silent. How Weegee did it is unreal to me. Yet completely normal for the time. My own practical interest was returning with a story in an image. Often times what's very boring for me is a treasure to another, so. Bird cage liner, scrapbook, something to say this is the way it was that day.
When I use the image-capturing app in the sonic screwdriver I carry (sometimes it makes noises and if I press some buttons in the right order other humans talk to me, I know, but when in Rome) I still hold the frame of mind of recording a moment. The difference between then and now is I let the micro-magic smoke inside make decisions about exposure &c. All the old learninating is still in there but I just kind of don't pay it much mind. I'm looking for something else ... like a simple "here's a goofball image of a goofball tapestry by my amps" photo.
Still doing birdcage liner. Once in, you're in all the way.

A party at Home - Lakeside Golf Club, where I was a guest more frequently than I truly care to recall.
I have my dad's old Speed Graphic w/flash and other accessories, in a box in the next room. He said the bellows needed replacing when we last talked about it maybe 30 years ago.
I have one or two of these with various reflectors that go on them. No bulbs, though.

Modern flashes have come a long way from the olden dayz. With the flash batteries and the assembly mounted on my Nikon, it was quite heavy. Good thing I never went with the motorized winder.
Down the rabbit hole.
I made a start on building a tweed Fender Deluxe. The intent is to modify the power supply so it is more bass friendly, but it will be used with guitar as well. We’ll see how that turns out.
Went to a wood store to buy some pine for the cabinet some and baltic birch sheets for the baffle and back panels. I usually get the wood cut at the store. There were eight different cuts required on the 8x1 foot pine board. The guy cutting board looked at my drawing and walked off. I said, don’t you need the sheet with the dimensions, he said no he had it in his head. Either he had a photographic memory or is a cabinet builder and knew exactly what was needed. All the cuts were perfect. I needed some other related router stuff, it all adds up.
There’s still a number of special cuts to be made by me. Finger joints for one. Two angled ⅜ inch wide and deep slots will be required to mount the speaker baffle. Pretty easy with a table saw, a challenge otherwise. Since I don’t have a table saw, one approach is to use a Dremel and router bit with a tilting base to get the angle right. Stewmac sells a nice one. More expense. Last night they had a bonus deal that if you bought a twice as expensive plunge base, you get the tilt base for free. Even more expense. While placing the order, somehow the bonus offer expired without notice. Sent them an email, will hear in a few days. They tend to be slow in replying, everyone blames covid. I’ll be disappointed if they won’t make the offer right.
I probably could buy a pre-made cabinet with what I’ve got into it so far. Tools always run up the costs. I never seem to take the easy path in life. I always seem to stumble down the deepest rabbit holes.

Ruht roh! I'm sure you'll do an oustanding job, but man, what a lot of work.
The wood head case I'm doing for my current tube amp build is going to be pretty minimalistic compared to what you're taking on, I figure I can always do another one later if the amp turns out to be my main squeeze. Tubes and bass have never been a particularly happy confluence for me in the past, but ones never knows, do one?

Even minimal turns out to take a lot of work.
Are you doing a vinyl covered case or a stained wood type? Will it require a fan?

Natural wood with contrasting wood trim. No fan, so a custom front grill screen. I’ll leave room for a small fan just in case though.
I have a Mesa MK4 112 combo in hardwood that looks pretty good. This head only version looks just as nice. The cane grille is a good touch.

Yep, I took a serious look at what it would take to DIY that look. A whole lot of dinero, for starters. I decided to stick with matching my primary practice cab since this amp will probably rarely if ever leave my house.
Are you going for a period correct eyelet board and cosmetic treatment, or...?
Sorry GOF's here for a VERY LATE roll call. I don't know what was wrong on Friday and yesterday--it was like a 24 hour flu. I just slept and slept-- So please if you wish report in on accounting for all toes fingers and appendages accounted for. As I said, I was out for the count until today. Carey makes an excellent nurse! Today is a nice day and we have one of those small Lil Smokey BBQ's and a rack of ribs. Also some corn on the cob, and I think we're going to just back a couple potatoes. So what say ye, GOF's? That's gorgeous. I remember 30 years ago a friend of mine got the first one in little Sitka. It only had 10" speaker but boy was it loud! And beautiful! That was one guitar combo I would call sexy.
With all the beautiful combos available at M/B, I wonder why they don't make their D800's into bass combos, you know special editions. I know they're painstakingly careful on introducing new products.

Since you asked, I read the results of my labwork online and nothing's out of sorts. That's the first of several green lights to catch on the way to the operating theater.
Just put a nip of brandy in my very late afternoon coffee. I earned it today.
