Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

I am color blind to several colors. There are times I get dressed to go out for the evening with my wife and she looks at me and says, “Are you going to wear that?” After that, she threatens to sew Garanimal tags in my clothes.
I had a boss years ago who was color blind. He used to go to the men's store and ask to buy everything that was on the display mannequin (from shoes and socks to shirt and tie, not just the suit). He would then go home and hang everything together as matched sets in his closet right down to the belt and shoes.

One day after he got married he came home to find that his wife had organized his clothes so that all his shirts were in one drawer, socks the same, ties all hanging together in one area the closet with belts together in another, shoes all to one side of the closet floor, and suits now hanging together without their matching pieces.

Shwe as in fact quite proud of her closet organization skills having created twice the space for clothes, but suffice it to say he was never quite as well coordinated sartorially at work again.

20 years ago this week, when I moved from the UK to the US, most of my clothes came from Marks & Spencer (yeah I know...). For Americans M&S is kind of like Macy's - one in every town and you know if you're working away from home you can always get a shirt, pants and a jacket that will fit off the peg at reasonable prices.

Anyway. Back then M&S used to brand all their clothes "St. Michael". Don't ask me why. The girlfriend who became my wife was perplexed why a 35 year old man would have name tags even in his undercrackers, and was convinced I was lying about my name!

You should have really messed with her mind and started buying Calvin Klein! :D

Faggots are meatballs made from minced off-cuts and offal, especially pork (traditionally pig's heart, liver, and fatty belly meat or bacon) together with herbs for flavouring and sometimes added bread crumbs. The one below is wrapped in bacon. Offal normally includes chitlins, aka port intestine, and brains.

Did you ever asked your boss why he always dressed so weird? :D

Shoulda numbered them!

He didn't, by any chance, go on to invent Garanimals, did he? ;):woot:

Now for something completely different...those of us of that certain generation know what this tune really meant, and this year it seems like a good thought to hold onto. BTW...if you're any sort of fan of these guys, stick around for the extended jam at the end. A reninder of the way it used to be.

Wake up to find out that you are the doo-dah, Man.

most of the cats you meet on the street speak of tuna

New York's got the laser beams that just won't let you be

There is a time there — I'd say 82-83ish — Bobby messed with us

wait this is Bob we're talking about

I mean besides always forgetting a line in Truckin' he started messing around. "what in the world became of sweet Jane? ... ever since she went and had her sex change ..."

Berkeley Greek Theater if memory serves

Nice annotation to the sweet Jane lyric here The Annotated "Truckin'"

Prior to their unfortunate shut down in Canada, they had several stores in and around Vancouver, BC. My wife and I would always shop there during our summer and Christmas visits with the family. They sold quality products and reasonable prices. Their staff were always great to deal with. We really miss them.

Yep, my Deadhead band in ca. 1984 Seattle used to mash up a bunch of Bobby spaceman gaffes with random instrumental quotes from a few tunes we never actually played. Allligatorrrrrr......!

As a kid I remember hearing urban tales of hot dogs being made of sweepings off the floors of butcher shops...

Many, many years ago, I worked at THE hotdog factory. We made about 40% of the hotdogs in the US. Generally speaking, the quality of the meat ingredients is far above that found in lunch meats. The absolute best cut of a hog is used in making hotdogs - cheek meat.
