There are pumas in the crevasse.

Life was dangerous enough building the railroad. The rain, the snow, and pumas in the crevasses. At $1 a day for a chinese worker and $1.50-$2.50 for a white worker, it’s surprising that protesters today aren’t out tearing down the railroad lines. I suppose it’s because there aren’t media cameras* out in the wilderness.

* I saw a protest last weekend. Never seen anything more scripted. The group was quietly standing with the placards. As soon as the cameras starting rolling, they erupted with their anger and chants. The instant the media started to leave, they disbanded. At first I thought it was a movie set but it wasn’t, it was in the news. It’s amazing how sheep have a need to follow and be manipulated. No conviction. All for a media moment. What does that say about anything in the media.

Back to the pumas, there are always predators like C.M.O.T. Dibbler on the stump selling low grade subsistence products to those that have very little.
