Kool Aid works surprisingly well as a wood dye. People report that it stands up well over time. Not sure how it compares with aniline.

All I know about the finish on that bass is that is was hair dye of some sort, and the woman in question gave it to her luthier boyfriend after using it on her own hair first. I think she has quite a stash of other colors as well.

Even with woodstain IQ in the single digit range, I'd say that's not henna whut did that. This is what my throttled-up henna does.

The "before" shot is also henna, just watered down to be strawberry blonde. The more gray I grow, the less strawberry and the more blonde.

After is better, younger look. I think it suits better.

The future will have phones that can take 3D images. They will be printed at home. Order any record and print the vinyl. Same goes for food and meds.

Owing to what I've observed in humans, absolutely certain of the extremes of creativity this may bring, and my disinterest in exploring those myself. It's a drug.

I used to work in an old medical building that had a morgue with bodies for dissection in the anotomy lab. That was a grusome room, embalmed bodies on marble slabs being peeled back from head to toes throughout the year until there was nothing left. Trays of old dissection tools. The morgue was full of embalmed bodies hanging by hooks under their arms, their wrists tied back waiting for the next year. They were covered with plastic, hanging on racks like cloths at a dry cleaners.

I would sometimes pull all nighters one floor up where I was the only one in this huge quiet building. In the middle of the night when you are numb and tired, things would happen. Shadows would appear and move, you'd feel a chill and an odd feeling in the gut. When I mentioned it, I was told that there were many reports of hauntings. As if the morgue wasn't enough, people had committed suicide in the building. There were some workers that out-and-out refused to be in there after dark. There was something about that building, you felt it when you entered.

When I was a nursing student I did an internship in one of the local hospitals and my preceptor showed me the morgue and said that when she was new she had to bring a body down and the door shut on her, haha! I don't remember how long she got stuck in there but she said after she got let out they showed her a lever that opened the door from inside:laugh: it was on the wall away from the door, kind of a dumb place if you ask me. She said she didn't like it at all.

I have a cousin that worked in a hospital. One of his jobs was taking dead people down to the morgue. He was also supposed to maintain them on a heart monitor for a certain period, just to be sure. He never had anyone come back.

An uncle was a plumber that serviced commercial refrigeration units. He was called to a funeral home to fix the cooler. They locked him in the fridge by wedging a casket up against the door. The people that work in that industry seem to have a morbid sense of humour.

We are well on our way.

Right now, jewelry is created on a computer and 3D wax print intricate designs for traditional production. They can also print directly with gold. It has changed the industry.

In electronics, 3D printed circuit boards for prototyping are available now. Typically you submit a design to a plant, they manufacture board and ship them to you. With an onsite printer, turnaround is way faster. A lot of companies are using 3D printing for product development, including the headphones that I’m wearing.

The recently certified Boeing 777 General Electric GE9X jet engine uses some 3D printed parts that can’t be manufactured any other way for production. The auto industry is well into it, including entire engines 3D printed.
