Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

It was well on to forenoon before I realized today isn't Saturday.
I keep my days straight by doctor appointments. I had an MRI Thursday because of a possible growth on an auditory nerve (or some such) causing uneven hearing loss. I am waiting to find out if there is anything in my head, I know: good luck on that. Hearing aids are probably in my near future. I hope surgery is not.

Hearing loss in musicians needs to be illegal.

Check. I've a doctor's appointment Tuesday and all got it into my head that Monday is a holiday. It's a jolly party with the osteopathic surgeon for three months out of surgery. The X-ray tech even remembers me. I definitely remember her. We'll all be in a very fine mood at the start of their first working week of the year.

A string of medical appointments seems to be a GOF’s job in retirement.

Speaking of black and white labs...

"Surfed" (what do the cool kids say?) to the online edition of the city paper to read the weather and guess what? They aren't running weather now.

What I did find and kind of wish I hadn't is a grotesquely written news item about a city man who nicked a police car from the cop shop parking lot. His was not a long joy ride as it ended after a foot chase to the parking lot exit. Lots of "crimes", yet if the report is factually correct, the man needs mental health intervention IMO ...

Oh, who here hasn't nicked a police car? Come ON:rollno:

The weather seems like it should be more important.

A common ruse. It normally would get him a nice warm padded jail cell and three square meals a day. Beats being out on the street in the cold. But these days they don’t hold anyone.

Last spring Sitka saw the end of an era-- our little newspaper quit publishing the TV schedule and weekend entertainment insert. Given that our Tivo already has a TV guide built in we didn't miss it but still it was kinda sad...... My brother studied that TV guide like a bible. He'd carefully highlight the shows he wanted to see for the week. Ahhh, younger days...

Just saying hi this afternoon...

You say hi, I say low....

The following is from the the Hello Goodbye song wiki.

The song originated when, in response to a question from Beatles aide Alistair Taylor about songwriting, McCartney sat down at a harmonium and asked Taylor to say the opposite of whatever he said. The completed song includes a musical coda, which was improvised by the Beatles when they were recording the track in October 1967. Unimpressed with the composition, Lennon pushed for "I Am the Walrus" to be the single's A-side, before reluctantly accepting that "Hello, Goodbye" was the more commercial-sounding of the two sides.
