Bummers. Hope you are okay!

My daddy-in-law is 89. He says getting older is sometimes inconvenient. The best line I ever heard about age was from a friend - I feel like I'm 35 but something is wrong with me.

At my last annual phy exam the PA asked if I had any falls. I said "Not that I remember".

Agreed. Was out walking my 3 dogs after a bit of a thaw after a snow storm. Stepped on some black ice, and piked, right on my butt. Wouldn't have been too bad except I instinctively tried to brace my fall, locked up my left elbow and drove every bone in my left arm into my shoulder. Couldn't use my left arm at all. Called my brother (a doctor who taught anatomy lab at one point) and described what had happened and asked for his diagnosis. His one word answer?

"Stupid."

This Mike Pachelli (from the warm south of France) video really highlights John's rough but amazing strumming technique. This really filled out the sound and made the song sound bigger.

LOVE Mike's video. It took me back 57 years to when I played that record over and over picking out all the guitar parts. (Although it wasn't until '66 and Johnny Rivers' "Secret Agent Man" that I learned a proper open B7 chord.) I had no idea who played what so I kinda mashed 'em all up together, playing John's rhythm while singing and throwing in George's fills and lead in between. Yeah, it didn't sound very even, but it was FUN as all get out, which I detect in Mike's presentation, too!

Not yet. I don't use Notion much, and haven't been able to map Notion instruments to the imported staves. It looks like it's working, but I'm not getting any audio out (which is the whole point! ha!).

That, and it's been snowing for 2 days, with at least 1 more to go. I'm doing a LOT of shoveling. I have 3 small dogs who don't like dragging their business in the snow. Lots of trails in the backyard, plus the driveway, of course.

That, and I'm still trying to move to France. That's getting more challenging by the day.

So, sorry for the delay.

I loved Lennon's playing, I loved his lead playing too, nice and dirty!

When the newly fallen snow that is so delightful to see is also deeper than the dog's legs are tall, it is I shoveling in my jammies so Odin can do his business. Only then can I take care of my business.

Of course nobody I know ever crushed on George :whistle:

Did you turn on your amp/speakers and turn up the volume? I have other useful tech tips like this but I can't promise they will be this good. No big deal. I only do the playback thing so the group can get an idea of what it sounds like.

"... dragging their business ..." ?? Never mind. Don't explain. :laugh:

If a dog can cross his legs, that's what Odin was doing as he waited for me to shovel a path in his yard. He was not going to go on the concrete floor of the patio, and certainly not going to go in the house. Odin is a very good dog!


(but he barfs wherever)
