The X-rays confirm I'm healed well, save for the part that didn't heal as expected. Since it is still painful to walk, my surgeon and I agree to meet again in six months when it's not painful to walk. Too soon to tell if a bonus round of surgery is warranted.
That's me and Odin in that recovery, same as for the knees. My knees better be good for all my days because another set of knee surgeries is beyond the pale.
Agreed. Was out walking my 3 dogs after a bit of a thaw after a snow storm. Stepped on some black ice, and piked, right on my butt. Wouldn't have been too bad except I instinctively tried to brace my fall, locked up my left elbow and drove every bone in my left arm into my shoulder. Couldn't use my left arm at all. Called my brother (a doctor who taught anatomy lab at one point) and described what had happened and asked for his diagnosis. His one word answer?
"Stupid."

People and their addictions.
Went over to my parking garage to do a check of my car. The elevator opens and two maintenance people get off, painters. The elevator reeked of dope. Stopped by a gas station on my walk. A car door opened, again the reek of dope. Both cases well before 7AM.
Seems that some prefer dope instead of coffee and cigarettes to ease their addiction. Next they'll be taking to uppers to wake up, another pill to fall asleep. People are strange, as the song goes.

The wife and I are now tearing up and singing the melodies from that Herb Alpert album. Played the hell out of it back then.
They may be just rolling in from last night. Dope these days can be bought (on purpose, mind you) without the psychoactive ingredients to ease their pain.

Seasons pass. In a thousand years, long after we are gone, the mountains will still be there as they were thousands of year ago. I like that timeless nature.

Got curious about Superbowl ticket prices. Limited attendance. Least expensive is almost $7200. Most expensive on the field is $51,087. There are two suite tickets available for the mere sum of $230,000 and $411,369 PER TICKET. WOW! What a deal!
I've been to a St Louis Cardinals (remember that?) and Cowboys game. It's an interesting experience but for watching it's much better on TV. Recording on DVR then skipping commercials and pregame/halftime BS is even better!

Can't complain too much. He's one heck of a chiro. When I got rear-ended on the 405 just outside of LAX, the C6-C7 disk almost herniated. It ballooned. Ugly on x-rays. He treated me 6 days/week for 6 months for what he was able to bill my insurance. Can't imagine how much that would have cost with an unrelated chiro.Perfect!

He did owe me, though. I was his free IT guy. Set up a 4-PC peer-to-peer network back in the DOS days. That was NO fun.
