People sell dried pompas grass.
Now, see...that's why I live where I do. No sidewalks, no place to park, no neighbors closer than half a mile. Basically, if I can hear it or see it, and dont like it, I can shoot it.Just checking in to say...get off (and stay off) my lawn! Keep your dogs off my lawn (and your ugly children). Don't park your car in front of my house. Use the sidewalk on the other side of the street. And for my neighbors, shut your dogs up and turn down your subwoofers.And for my nearby subwoofer neighbors, I'm coming for you. See pic. This EV ELX200-18S will be parked outside against the rear wall of my house. Powered by a Crown XTi 2000. GOF's don't play.

Rang my osteopathic surgeon today via all this internety stuff. One of the two screws in my foot may be a candidate for removal. We talked about this when I saw her in January. Difficult to say what's going on.
What is going on is the Acinonyx is in port and making its way though customs. Giving a lot of thought to the big blue bass with the VVTT + switch reconfigured with something more useful for a bass. And as thoroughly unknowledgeable one can possibly be in these matters, imagining what I want to hear from this bass I don't hear now. My very practical thinking is a switch that's shorter. As is, the switch is taller than the knobs. And if we're going to go in there, my understanding is the Les Paul VVTT is not exactly ideal for a bass.
All of which is more fun to think about than an ouchy foot.

If their going to screw with your foot, screwing with your bass is indeed a good distraction. One screw less isn't a bad thing, unless you break your foot afterwards.
I don't know if volume-volume-tone-tone is such a bad thing. I use VV to set a balance, don't usually use tone controls. Pickup selector switch stays in the middle, both pickups selected. A big bat on the switch can get in the way if you like knob fiddling.

IF and that's a very big IF I have to go through another joint surgery, at least I know everything to expect. I also have crutches, and a boot. Insurance paid all but a dollar for the boot, and all but a dollar for the crutches. Two bills for a dollar each. Paid both with one check. Actually paid with paper. In the mail.
What I'm thinking without absolutely any knowledge of viability, wisdom, or usefulness is ... who knows? Not I.
Most of the time I play with both pickups on, bridge tone and volume backed off to taste. What I'm lusting for is some of that sidewinder thud with only the neck pickup on. It's kind of polite as is.
Edit. About the same coin or thereabouts could probably rehab my 'Ray. But not really feeling all keen on 34 inch scale. I know, I know. Dang if this ~31 inch scale isn't fun to play!

I suspect that screw removal is a lot less invasive and tramatic to the surrounding area. Maybe even no boot required. Maybe I'm out to lunch.
A foam mute at the bridge can help with the thumpty-thump-thump.
There's a reason why food delivery people shy away from places with big buffer zones.

Yes, from what I've seen the wildlife santuary is quite spectacular.
On my LPB2/5, the knobs are; top left(blend between bridge and neck pups), bottom left(tone-bridge pup), top right(volume), bottom right(tone-neck pup). Pretty effective IMO.

By some happy chance the NordyMute that ships with the Acinonyx will fit the Chowny.
What got me all going on this (again) besides more foot surgery starts with wanting a shorter three way pickup switch. And if going in there .... Switchcraft jack, you know. That stuff. Because it's true that while a 1967 Ford and a 1967 Mercedes-Benz do exactly the same thing, everything about the big German beast feels solid. Get some real Filter'Tron copies in there ....
The likelihood is I won't want to put the Acinonyx down.

There's plenty of room in my brain to imagine what this bass will do with Thundeblades. I'll want a reason to pick it up when the cat bass arrives. It's serves me pretty well and has that "other" 60s vibe. Americans played Fenders because nobody else could afford them LOL
In truth my inner bass ear is partly tuned to the Chas Chandler Rivoli, but also to the Starfire. Mine cops a lot of the look, much of the sound ... realistically not expecting Wickersham Bisonic wizardry but I think I can get kind of close with this beast ...
