Crazy weather. Frozen solid two weeks ago. Thunderstorms Thu night, misting rain and fog Fri and Sat. The sun was out off and on today with brief rain. It was up to 74 today ahead of the cold front with high humidity. 20 degrees cooler on the backside of the front. Front just passed us and temps have dropped to the upper 60s going to low 40s early AM. We have a severe t-storm watch until this evening. "Hail the size of canned hams"

Well, we got a whole lot of nuthin'. The storms formed to the east of us. Temps have dropped to the upper 50s already and the humidity is pretty much gone.

Their performance set a new standard. Now everyone's doing the song with a choir. They are always chomping at the bit to join any kind of sing-along. Same goes for Tommy Shaw (Styx), he often looks for local choirs to do Fooling Yourself with him. Well at least pre-covid he did. Choirs are a thing and it helps sell tickets to every relative and aquantance. Smart marketing.

Never had a Mr. Microphone, I do have an old model 55 Shure Unidyne mic. They are really cool. The Unidyne capsules evolved with the II, and III revisions. The Unidyne III was the basis for the SM product line. In 1965 the SM57 was released, the SM58 followed in 1966. The SM series mics are 55 years old and they are related to the model 55.

The first one is called the Elvis mic. I have the one next to it, a broadcast version. It has the red silk like the first one.

Every time you talked on the phone. Handsets have a mic element in them. Not all that different than what harmonica mics such as the Shure 520 “Green Bullet” use.
