And Carole King is known as a singer
Joni Mitchell always thought of herself as more of a painter/artist than a singer/songwriter. Still does.

So. Just for the halibut, I decided to hook up the Peavey* KB300[3 channel keyboard amp w/ a 15, horn, and piezo]which I have sitting around aging. HOLY[STUFF]! I'd forgotten how this thing kicks @$$. Thankfully, it's on wheels, else it woulda kicked my @$$. It still sounds amazing, whichever of 3 basses I plugged in(too lazy to dig out the Les Paul 5er). When I used to gig with it, I'd put the bass and duffel on top and roll it in. 'course I still had to lift the damn thing into the gigmobile(and back out of same).

* I can spell it out 'cos it was built waaay b4 they changed their business practices-which I can't forgive.
Like Gallien-Krueger GK?

It’s nice to go shopping through your stuff and rediscover some old favourites.

Amps should be used at least once a year. More often is better. Running the amp reconditions the electrolytic capacitors and helps extend their useful life. For tube amps this should be done in playing mode, not in standby. It isn’t necessary to play through the amp, just plug it in and run it.

That was very nice. The effect was tastefully applied. I have an array of phasers, including an MXR Phase 100, the one with two knobs. With only one instrument, Heart wanted to thicken the sound of the guitar to make it sound fuller. I think that they overapplied it.
Yeah, they did get a bit heavy handed with the flanger. I had a tc electronic SCF for a while around the turn of the century. It was a lot more subtle, and musical sounding than whatever Nancy was using in the video.

Speaking of turn of the century:

I see there is a note on Rick's keyboard: Call your mother!

I was thinking about the Wilson sisters.

There were three Wilson sisters. The elder was Lynn.

BTW, that’s an AKG C414 microphone.

Lynn is interviewed in the Ann Wilson video. (Nice pants, Ann :D)

We had a couple of 414s at the studio I worked at in the early '80s. Given that Nancy, Ann, and Lynn are spaced about 180º around the mic it was probably set to Omni.

Maybe, we should compile a list of all known microphones?

The weather has been swinging. Saturday I got caught in heavy snow, wound up covered like a snowman on the front of my coat while carrying groceries on a long trek home. Later that day it rained. Sunday I was out without a hat or gloves, coat undone. Yesterday it was raining cats and dogs. This morning the windchill was -30. The rest of the week will be cold.

Enough of this. Typically, the last major snowfall is on or about March 4th. I’m determined that if the roads are dry, I’m taking the car to the grocery this Saturday. The car has been in storage since December.
