Wednesday evening cocktails on the rooftop of my residenza in Milan offered a perfect view of the Alps, particularly after a good rainfall. No photos save for what I stored in the old gray matter, and that's kind of hard to share in only words. However one may imagine business casual, Campari and soda, and good company. I certainly might settle for a few more evenings like that depending on the actual costs to my being

It is a very cool place.

I've been pretty close to you a couple of times. I have a friend that lives in Osage Bend. We grew up in southeast MO and lived in St Louis from '86-'94

I've made good friends with a guy in Ferrara, Italy on a motorcycle forum. He videos his rides. Lots of trips into the Alps.

I find it takes me time to acclimatize above 5k meters. Altogether I prefer to be at altitude.

'Tis the GoF Ray. I believe at 42 years an instrument is entitled to call itself a GoF. If instruments do that. I don't know, I've never struck up a "how's the weather" conversation with my Ray beyond a tweak to the truss rod. That's "how's the weather" talk to a bass, I think.

My total knowledge of trusses is from cartoons but yes I know about straps and where they should be — as opposed to where they are.

My ‘63 B-15 is 58 years old. It’s had exterior plastic surgery and some internal work but is way better than new. It never hisses or (g)rumbles. The Fender Vibro-Champ is a year younger.
