Well, I see two things going on. Right hand is fast but also about keeping the groove in time. The left is more about easy reach without having to look or think.
The bass for this song was originally played by Norman Watt-Roy.
Nope. Honest evaluation.
The tune overall is not very good but I kinda liked the bass. Reminds me of Tower of Power.
I just went on a Gibson rampage last month, picked up 4 60's and 70's, EB-0, EB-3 and EB-3L and EB-4L, now I have to sneak them in the house when I get back.Just to top it off I bought a new jetglo Ric 4003S, my bass buying days are over for at least a little while.
Yikes! That would get my wallet impounded. As it is I voluntary remove it from my person every time I go into a music store.
It suits the song perfectly 'cos we've all heard it prolly thousands of times. It would be interesting(sorta)to know what was being played as they worked the song out.I suits the song just perfectly.

I got an inheritance a few months ago, not too big but enough for a few indulgences. Gibson basses are still a bargain except for certain early ones, I did get a modded '62 EB-0 for 1400 bucks though, but the mod (bridge pickup and Pleck job) was done by Mike Lull so figured I couldn't go wrong with that. This picture is from the ad and those three million gadgets on the shelves behind it aren't' mine.

Very few Americans appreciate the daily shopping experience in Europe. Not a diss, you just need to live it for awhile. I much prefer that daily experience to every two or three days getting in a car, driving to Sprouts for my fresh goods, then driving to Fry's for my consumables (don't bother even once trying paper towels made from recycled paper; they just dissolve; fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me), then driving to the local bakery for fresh bread, then... Well, you get the idea.
A baguette a day keeps the doctor away!
[N.B. It's not the baguette, it's the walk to get it and the return walk home. Also good for the 3 pupsters!]

The later it gets, the more they like whatever you play. But watch out for that inebriated Chicago Bulls cheerleader (who was dating a Chicago Bears linebacker) making moves on you, forgetting that said linebacker was in attendance. It won't turn out well. Trust me.

We actually rehearsed the song and it changed the more we did it until it came out as almost an entirely different song but had the same lyrics and structure, it sounded good if I do say so myself, very different from the original, wish I could remember what they tune was.
Cool! The only thing that I ever inherited is my genes.
My father passed away last year and left the house to us kids to split up, thanks to ridiculous house prices in Massachusetts we each got a decent amount.

Someone else asked that too when I posted it last month, that's a picture from the ad. The only pedal I use in an EBS tube direct box/OD and I don't even used that very much, it's great for the Mel Schacher sound without knocking walls down.
I average six hours with one get up and p*p* halfway through. I then go out to my recliner, get another hour then get up around 6:30 to start setting out medication, vitamins, and make some oatmeal. Then a shower and fresh shirts for work. I go home a few minutes early for lunch and catch a 15 minute catnap and that helps too.
This last weekend our granddaughter from Juneau came over to visit. She is so well behaved and a straight A student. She also babysits her siblings. She's graduating next month and I wish we could go but we're worried about Covid even with our shots. She's coming to stay with us for a week during 4th of July. She's half Haida from my side of the family. Also Tlingit from her mom's side.
She wants to be a teacher. She's so precious--kind, thoughtful, and listens carefully and stares straight into your eyes when she talks to you. Answers "yes grandpa" "yes grandma." Her counselor in High School is working on getting her grants for the local college. Here's a picture of her playing Varsity Girl's Basketball. Here name is Ajah.
