When I lived in LaLaLand I rarely went by that area (I always managed to circumvent it), but the Family did go there in the summer of '74 (my first time in The West).

Beer. It's for breakfast! A company I used to work for had a golf outing once a year. Show up about 7am to get assigned to 4-man teams, then have beer and donuts for breakfast, and beer during play, then beer during lunch, and beer during afternoon poker playing. Did I mention there was beer?

Made it! To the post office in time to overnight the GHS Balanced Nickels to Nordstrand for Mo to install on my Acinonyx.

Notice people are getting cheeky about masks. The lady ahead of me at the post office (who, if I were to hazard a guess, is a realtor) gave me a dirty look. The postal clerk wasn't wearing a mask. I don't know if you're fully vaccinated, or what.

Elevators that I take allow either two or three people at a time. Most people respect the rules. I don’t have any problems being an elevator cop. Nobody argues with me, I guess that they are trying to push the limits. Inside you have to wear a mask, people take it seriously. Outside you don’t but many do.

Yep. They're just people with a job title of actor, celebrity, whatever. Except for two, all others have been just like you'n'me.

Pre covid I used to see celebrities often. Locals ignore them which they appreciate. This allows them to walk around like everyone else. I usually just nod as I pass. Tourists can be disruptive pain in the neck.

I was impressed by, but not impressed as in "awe of" by Muhammad Ali. What left me impressed is how barely there he was as his body quaked. There are so many people I should have been impressed by but for whatever reasons took it in stride.
