The analogues use a 610 cab? The whole Fender set up looked modern to me like one of their 300 watt tube bass amps that look like an old blackface amp. Fender Super Bassman maybe with this: Fender Bassman 610Neo cab? ... ...

Looks to me like Bart uses an approximately 36" tall 610, though my visual calibration ain't what she used to be.

The silverface Bassman amp was just 50 watts and not only were the standard (non-JBL) speakers not-so-hot, but the cabs back then weren't tuned at all. The 2x12" Bassman cab Paul used was probably about 40" tall back then, which looks to me about right here.

Next on the list of space stuff is, what's going to happen with this Chinese rocket? Is it time we had a laser that can zap these things? With all the (growing) junk up there, isn't it time we dealt with the "fall-out"?

Yeah this is a tough, tough problem. Not even the items like the Chinese booster, and Skylab and other similar big things that returned to earth (those are massive and scary regarding where/when they land). But the biggest issue is the debris in orbits: even a bb-sized piece could destroy another satellite if the relative velocities are 'just right'. Which would feed the debris collection....

I predict that some firms will devise debris mitigation tools (space Swiffers for lack of a better term). But just how effective will they be?

Note, I think space lasers (with or without sharks) would only increase the debris problem.

Yup, the NEP610 is three feet high.

The blackface '64 would have been a small cab Bassman, the cabs were too small for bass.

Paul had the big cab Bassman in later years, probably the 215 unless he had a 1967 like I do, that was the last year they used 12's in those I believe and I think they only used 12's in the big cab for that year. I got a mid '67 drip edge silverface Bassman with 2 12's with the blackface circuit in it, it has the big cab, it sounds really good. Those cabs were sealed though so no tuning involved except their size and whatever they stuffed them with which was not much, the big 212 cab sounded a lot better than the small earlier 212 cab, lot more bottom. Mine has Eminence speakers in it though, don't know what model but they sound really good.

I get where you're coming from! While the first crop to go won't be Shanghai'ed, their progeny may see things much more as you outline. And it's not like anyone born and raised on Mars can come back to Earth without being debilitated. Who speaks for the unborn Martians?

You can't trust those, here it says they switched to 15's in the later part of 1968 this is from Fender too, most enthusiast places I've read say the switch was in 1968, the catalogues (and here) also say the switch to silverface was 1968 and it was actually mid 67 for some of the Fenders.

There were some BF versions in the early '80s. I am looking at the control layout and that long space on the right side with the master volume control is to the left and the jeweled light is at the right. The Super Bassman has way too many controls on the right channel, and the aforementioned space on the right side of the control panel is too short on it, also. JMO.

Hard for me to tell for sure, but, depending on the lighting and angle, it does look like it could be a silverface, possibly.

That's not the same amp. That one does not have a master volume control to the right of the second channel, plus that second channel doesn't have a Middle control, either.

That's what I see. Even with my bands, I'd use different amps and basses depending on what I felt like bringing that day.
