Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

White Castle tastes really good late at night.
Somethin' about them. The onions? Love them!
My 85 year old Granny used to crave them and send my dad out on a mission to get some when she was visiting. She used to pronounce it 'Vice Cahsel', some sort of form of what may have looked like German lettering to her. (after 20+ years in America did not speak but a word or two of English)

They sell White Castle burgers in 4, 6, 16, and 32 packs in the frozen food section of the grocery store. I think that there’s chicken and spicy ones as well. Never been tempted to try them.

I've had 'em. They're OK(?). It ain't the same as fresh offa the grill. Then again, what is?

There is both a Whattaburger and a Smashburger at Philadelphia International. The alleged cheesesteaks at the airport look like gutbusters. Best cheesesteaks I ever had were off the food truck parked outside the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News.

Weird. I like McD's fish but dang are they overpriced! And on their buy 2 "deals", fish sammiches don't reheat for :poop:. Guess how I know.

I don’t get it either, McD’s fish is a jr. burger size for the price of big mac.

I got some of the fish sauce on my coat and had to machine wash it twice to get the greasy smell out. I figure that it can’t be good for you.

 If you saw me, you'd know that 'good for you' is not high on my list of criteria. Taste is #1, followed-closely-by $ and convenience.
EDIT: Makes me wonder how I got this far. Not too much, though.:smug:

I don't recall ever being in a White Castle, but at the Royal Castle, the burgers and chopped onions were cooked on the flattop, right next to each other. Onion juice would get in the patties, beef juice got into the onions. And the smell! Mmmmm.

White Castle Burgers Aren't Grilled, They're Steamed

That bed of onions has an important job: The steam from the grilled onions permeates the burgers and cooks them without exposing them to the grill directly. They can be steamed 30 at a time (the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] in White Castle's suitcase-sized Crave Case) and get off the grill in very little time.

Oh, yeah. Take a whiff
