I walked into a pawn shop today. Always hoping to find an old Fender bass. No Fender but they had a Warwick Corvette bubinga. Wanted 900, thats no big deal. Need a setup badly.

Gotta share this somewhere.
There's a post in the HuffPost about a test email accidentally sent out to part of their mailing list by HBOMax that has a bunch of reactions via Twitter.
First, HBOMax's original announcement.
We mistakenly sent out an empty test email to a portion of our HBO Max mailing list this evening. We apologize for the inconvenience, and as the jokes pile in, yes, it was the intern. No, really. And we’re helping them through it.
Now, my favorite response.
Dear Intern, when I was 25 I made a PDF assigning each employee to the Muppet they reminded me of the most. I meant to send it to my work friend, but I accidentally sent it to the entire company. My supervisor (Beaker) wanted to fire me, but the owners (Bert & Ernie) intervened.
Let's see. Where can I get a stethoscope? Oh yeah, from Dr. Heckle and Mr. Jive!A stethoscope taped onto the headstock of a bass is good for amp-less private practice.

In the movie, The Full Monty, they left their hats on till the very end.
Good Tom Jones performance.
Did it follow you home?
I have a 2020 Geddy Lee USA Jazz.![]()
That was an entertaining movie.
That’s such a nice bass. Are the white inlays hard to see on the maple fretboard?
Those things are the only thing I dislike about this bass. They aren't white, more of a yellowed 20 year old linoleum look that doesn't match the(replaced) white pearloid guard. Thus my quest for a black block inlay neck. Which I cannot find.![]()
Check out Ruth Bernhard, too.Um, I think he might have meant Inogen and fat-fingered it. But Ms. Cunningham made some purty pitchers.
I'm old enough to wear hospital scrubs not to be presumed not to be a stage gimmick.
Yeah, we called it The Awful Waffle. There were a couple attached to truck stops back when I was driving 18's. Always crowded. Coffee was good, food was...available. At 3AM, that matters. These were known as “Awful House” to us in Michigan. I’ve eaten there quite a few times when on the road.
Not that bad really for breakfast.

A good luthier can inlay new black markers. Maybe the Fender Custom shop can do it, or sell you a neck. Asking won't cost you anything. Tell them that Geddy sent you.![]()
Waffle revenge when a few hours later your gut starts to act up.
Jockomo inlay stickers? Those things are the only thing I dislike about this bass. They aren't white, more of a yellowed 20 year old linoleum look that doesn't match the(replaced) white pearloid guard. Thus my quest for a black block inlay neck. Which I cannot find.![]()
I got a job washing dishes at a WH a couple blocks from home when I was 14 or 15, new guy got graveyard shift. The clientele coming in after midnight was interesting, and sometimes terrifying.
Jockomo inlay stickers?
Even pass on waffle cone ice cream. Plain cone.Jockomo inlay stickers?
