The eyelid is incredibly sensitive and it hurts beyond all reason to take Novocain there.I mean, WOAH
So I keep imagining the needle piercing my eyelid and novocain inadvertantly injected into my eyeball. Gee thanks for the bad visual.

I was thinking W. C. Fields, myself!
I was always a big fan of the Edward Woodwood era.
Anybody remember Breaker Morant?
Hmm, mental demory? Eyes got to think about that.
My current dentist is very good. I hate having dental work done but it became necessary. I'm one of those that needs novocaine to make an appointment, but she's very good and after the initial 'pinch' of the needle, I'm OK.
Almost got shrapneled! Left a case of diet Pepsi out in the car for several days. It got hot. Brought the case in, noticed how warm the cans were, didn't care. Didn't notice how fat the cans got also; -really should've notice that...!!!
When I popped a can, BLAM! Like a gunshot! Scared the bejeepers out of me, scared the missus, she came running into the kitchen... Pepsi flew up and out allover the place and the soft aluminum top part of the can by the opening was all twisted freaky like! --But thank the soda gods it (barely) hung onto the can and didn't fly off into my face (like the Pepsi did!).
Hopefully the rest of the cans will become more uncharged now in the fridge, but I ain't taking no more chances... They'll be opened on the back porch with the tops of the cans pointed well away from me or any other living creature! -Damn thing was like a bomb!!
Given that my first car was a T-Bird...The places a man's mind wanders

Well, I'll put the flame suit on, but that reissue was a joke. It was aimed more at the bored hausfrau / nostalgia-uber-alles set, with more money than sense. I went to check them out, and even closing the door on it sounded like it was a cheap tin can. At a 40k sticker, it was WAY overpriced for what it was.The reissue from '02-'05 was pretty good but they should have made a performance version.

Oh, and as the line goes, "Not all who wander are lost."

The last decent 'Bird I drove was a '97 with the sport package. I knew I guy who had one in the turbo coupe configuration as well. Now those 'Birds would fly!

I'd agree with that. With better build quality and more options (or just a lower, more reasonable sticker), it might have been more interesting and appealing. As it was, it was little more than Ford's half-hearted attempt to jump on what they thought was an unrealized "higher end" of the market for retro-inspired cars of the time (PT Cruiser, Prowler, et al).It had some unrealized potential in my opinion.
Nowhere near as much action, more threats and intimidation to the bad guys' finances, freedom, etc.I had forgotten about the original Equalizer series! Don't remember much about it now but since we liked the Denzel movies and the new series, we would probably like it.
I had a car collector friend (moved to FL) who had an 'antique' T-bird. The one with the slide back hardtop so it could turn into a 2-seater with those scooped seat headrests. Thing was about as wide as two of my Honda Fit's! He only took it out of his garage for T-Bird or special car meets...Nah, no flames. I never rode in one or looked at it that close. It had some unrealized potential in my opinion.
The friend I mentioned some 37,000 posts ago with the Weber grill comments bought one. They hardly ever drove it thinking it would become a desirable collector car and increase in value. They apparently were impatient and sold it after a couple of years. Probably a good thing given the low value now.
Dang drummer!
Yikes! Do you have a video of that?![]()

Anyone remember "Foster's. Australian for beer."? In the 24 oz oil cans? That I never saw anywhere once during the 3 trips I made down-under? That was able to put "Import" on the label, since it was made in Calgary, Alberta?Fortunately much of my life has not been videotaped....
I will say tho that when I opened another can o' Pepsi (outdoors this time!) after it resided in the fridge for a day, it just fizzed a small bit out of the can. -NBD, and it appears the Pepsi bombs have voluntarily disarmed! ~~
