An uncle used to live in Buffalo. About an hour drive from there was Rochester and House of Guitars. At the time it was an amazing store.

We have friends in Greece (look it up) and have done the George Eastman House a couple of times, and High Falls was a cool little area to hang out at, too. I've only been to HOG once; the place was jam-packed with instruments. I remember a "stage" near the back of the store with mountains of early '60s 7ender amps.

At one time they had a giant Marshall amp in the stairwell.

I used to go there when I couldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere else. They had a good selection of vintage Fender tweeds.

I used to cross that bridge a few times a day in the early 70s. Lots of ways to mess up on the US side for sure. I have a lot of TB-unfriendly stories about that bridge and the Customs orifficers guys on both sides, oh man.

What was it the Buffalo boys used to call the strip clubs on the Canadian side? The Canadian Ballet? Something like that. Very funny. Spent a year one week in Buffalo.

The cloths weren’t motivated by disco, I didn’t like disco. I bought what the stores sold on sale. Dress pants were required by my company. I worked in a lab and didn’t want to risk ruining good cloths.

Congrats! I made it to 35. 5+15+15. Some poor decision-making on my part.

Not a fan of too much of the disco genre, but I did enjoy the club scene. However...I needed something else, more raw. These guys were the perfect antidote. They called their music "minimum wage rock and roll". Love this song.
