Yeah maybe they figure the inside would take more of a beating and did not want to appoint it with collector furniture.
Funny you mentioning that; I recently read an article on the Chautauqua community in Boulder, Co. They have been restoring some homes and cottages to use as rentals, furnishing them with era furniture and fittings, to keep an authentic charm to them so renters can "live" the experience from over a 100 years ago.

Edit: I just looked at their website; seems like they have "modernized" many of their offerings. Sad, but probably for the best as in the article I read they were hoping the renters would be in tune with what they were doing, but apparently, that may have not been the case. :crying:

Indeed there are some beautiful homes and cottages there. And the Auditorium and Dining Hall are period structures kept up very well, with continual use. A Must See district for any visitors to Boulder.
