Yup. I accompanied the wife today to just such a procedure. She's sawing logs as I write.Update: survived(obviously)the prep-whatever taste they were going for, they missed-and the procedure. Didn't go to eat as I have in the past. Came home and napped. Too much fun.
Poor gal. At least she didn't heave the prep this time. It was much more concentrated than I remember and had to drink a lot of water afterward. I remember having to drink a gallon jug or so of Golytely. YUK.

Flyover wave delayed as well.
Flights in n out of Chitown are always delayed it seems, IME at least. Theres this thing called weather they seem to have an abundance of in that area.
Seriously, I try to avoid going thru Chicago for this reason. The town itself has a lot of great things going for it!

My experience is Monday morning flights out of ORD are always on time. Getting home on time Friday is rare.
If ever a product was misnamed it is "Golytely."

I have a Peabody story from high school. A friend of mine kept talking about how great Old Forester whiskey was. Maybe I'll try it sometime. Four of us took his '67 TBird to Memphis to the Peabody. I started drinking Old Forester and Coke. It didn't take much before I was about blind. Two of the guys said they were going to find some "ladies of the evening" (yeah right). I don't know where the other guy went. About all I can remember is getting on an elevator, getting off on some floor and they were walking to the elevator (no ladies). The only thing I remembered after that was stopping for gas, opening the back door and expelling the Old Forester. I assume I made it home okay.
Spray painting bathrooms since 1980.
On my last one the product was called Half Lytely. It was still a 55 gallon drum of stuff. A doc friend said the original was too strong so they cut the concentration in half. The "lytely" part is for electrolytes in the mix. That didn't make any sense since it wasn't in there long enough to make a difference.

Done both of those. I would add that a visit to Corky’s BBQ is also on my list. Corky’s is flat out my favorite bbq bar none.
Well that big fugly flat TV screen in our living room earned it's keep tonight! Two back-to-back documentaries on PBS... First was a 60 min one about Chuck Berry and his career. Including a great segment covering the tribute concert arranged for him by Keith Richards, and Keith's admiration for, and friendship with him..
The 2'nd documentary wasn't so much about Buddy Guy as it was from Buddy Guy as he narrated stories from his life and career. Plenty of tales of tough sledding to get where he finally got to, including working as a tow truck driver during the day while playing music at night. T'was also 90 minutes of great clips of Buddy learning and playing with mentors and close friends, such as Muddy Waters (his first mentor), Howling Wolf, and Junior Wells. Also there were clips of Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, the Stones, and many others that I can't completely recall. All said, it was probably one of the best TV nights I've had in one helluva long time!

Almost 12 hours travel time to reach Chicago Tuesday. Brought the wrong USB cable. 25 spacebucks to replace it at der Flughafen.
