Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Many years ago my wedding ring got so tight that I couldn't get it over my middle knuckle (proximal interphalangeal joint). It isn't safe to operate machinery with rings or a watch. Given the choice of loosing the finger, I had to cut the ring off. Now it sits in a drawer. I'm sure that there's a country song in that.
Got phat hands from playing djembe and congas, that also get a bit phatter after playing. So wearing any kind of ring could be quite dangerous to both my skin and the drum's! (I even remove my watch when playing..)
Playing percussion doesn't help my hands any when it comes to BG playing, but I don't care; I love 'em both, drums and bass, so I do the best I can. However percussion I'm pro at (actually semi-retired, semi-pro now) and bass is just a consuming passion.. :bassist:

No Linotype operator ever wore a wedding ring (for long, anyway)

Last night just before bed a tool dropped down the bathroom sink drain. I tried fishing it out of the drain with some forceps, then with a grabber tool, but without any luck. I figured that I'd leave it till today. To make matters worse, on the way to putting the forceps away, I stubbed a toe. Doesn't seem to be broken but it's not happy.

I haven't had the energy to deal with the sink yet today. I've had other fires to put out. I'll probably have to disassemble the trap, maybe replace it.

I assume the tool you lost was metal...If that is the case, have you tried one of those small magnets on the extension handle? They look like a small radio antenna.

The tool is a metal that magnets attract. I have one of those antenna things, the head is too large to fit past an X hair strainer. I also tried a magnet on the outside. Then I tried a grasping tool and a forceps. Just couldn't get it. In the end I unload the cupboard and disassembled the trap. All fixed now.

She doesn't look French, to me.

Ugh! Vanities make it all that much harder to work on.

Written by a man, of course. Photographs. Diagrams. Charts. Whaaaaat? Sigh.
What? No circles and arrows and a description on the back of each one?
