Home from a road trip to MO. We went to see Pop and take him to his last two cancer treatments. All done!! The cancer has responded well to the treatment and he is doing exceptionally well. Side effect will linger for a while but every day is a little better than the last. He has a follow up in about a month. Mrs GT is staying with him for a while So glad this stuff is done!

I stopped in Memphis to see one my "Chicago" band mates from school. We reconnected a few years ago on email but I hadn't seen him since about '76. Good visit, talked about the band. He played alto sax. No, we're not getting the band back together - lol. Drove down to south central AR and spend a couple of days with another band mate. I've known him since we were about 14 yrs old. He played guitar in the band. I worked on one of his Ampeg GV22s to install a grounded power cord. No smoke or sparks or anything! It was a little scary when I removed the fuse. It had a 25A 32v automotive fuse that's probably been there since he bought the amp some years ago. Yikes. Glad I noticed that BEFORE powering up after the changes!
He gave me a late '70s Pioneer SX535 receiver that his dad bought new. It looks brand new. I told him the SX receivers of that vintage are desirable and have value. He said he won't do anything with it. I said again they are desirable and have value. He said take it. OKAY!
